I think the grind this year is not worth it. For the average player I don't think it's especially hard but just REALLY time consuming. Trying to balance the time with personal life and other things is just impossible. Maybe grinding Platinum for some weapon categories you like to use or just gold on some of your favorite weapons is reasonable.

Double weapon XP is CLUTCH. Last time we had it, i was able to max out every smg, and now i have platinum smgs. I wouldn't even be close to finishing them without double weapon XP or shipment lobbies

The grind is long, but the hate / praise people give you in game is so worth it. Feels great to be the only one with Damascus in every 30 or so lobbies. Makes you stand out.

@@crandy753 mounted and long shots can be done at the same time. Just mount the back wall on shoothouse with a thermal scope and throw smoke grenades. Launcher i recomend always using cold blooded and spotter. Makes it easier to see enemy streaks.

I recently unlocked Damascus and I wanted to share the way I did it because I feel like I did it in one of if not the most efficient way(s). So I took all the ranged weapons that required long shots, so the Ars, Smgs, Lmgs, Marksman rifles, and snipers, and I went and upgraded each weapon and got the long shot challenge ONLY done for that weapon and then I moved on to another weapon. (Mind you it was shoot house 24/7 and there was 2xp so it was much easier) I didn’t do the pistols and shotties because long shots with those are extremely easy, after that I just went back and completed the rest of the challenges for those weapons which took little to no time at all. So my tip would be to upgrade EVERY weapon first so that you get that out of the way and do the launchers simultaneously as you’re completing other challenges, don’t be like me and have every weapon done and now your sitting in the back of your spawn with a PILA going 6-39. I hope this helps someone

you can dashboard when the game is about to end even if you went 10x negative. It gives your progression but neither the kills nor the deaths, so you're pretty much ground zero with challenges unlocked

Play domination or Hardpoint - Shoothouse I found to be a good map for that, also Backlot is pretty good as well, lots of corners and walls to mount.

There's a spot at Rust I can't really explain it. But You basically mount at the tunnel container near the corner of the pipeline tower. Mount there pointing towards the red structures/area. You should be seeing under the vent stair that goes toward the third floor of the middle structure to the other side of the red area. Where people most of the time spawn. Your gonna have to figure it out. You get both Longshots and Mounted.

Very well explained. It took me 4 days to get all my ARs platinum. Key to it is max each gun out and then go threw and finish up camos. With that being said don't think I sit and play for hours. I'm a father of 2 and only play about 4 hours a day after work. Due to the fact that I only work 5 hours a day bit get paid for 40 hours a week. I still have a life. Great video tutorial. 👍🏼

for anyone watching this while reinfected ground war is running, you can get a ton of knife kills as a SURVIVOR on Tavorsk District (the skyscrapers map). Sit at the top of a popular elevator, crouch, and knife zombies as they come up. I finished off my crouch kills like that.

I might not even go for Damascus tbh. Only reason I got Dark Matter in BO4 was because there was like one launcher lol. I never really use launchers, so it's much harder to adapt to that weapon category than it is to use a combat knife or riot shield.

at first i wanted my dmrs plat, took me a few hours to get them gold ( shipment op) when i finally did it said i need snipers gold too, so within a day i got plat for those guns. prolly took 6 hours, pretty disappointed with plat but on the kar it looks sick. regardless after this grind i never went for camos again cuz it’s not worth it. besides snipers i have 1 ar gold, don’t think i’ll ever go for more unless i love the gun

You can do literally everything but long shots for most anything in shipment. Hop over to shoot house playlist and mount on back wall. Usually you can end the match with 15-20 long shots. I grinded out 2 snipers in a couple of hours by putting a 3x scope on them and playing in shipment.

@@basilciccone1679 In the SW corner (Courtyard), on top of the concrete box culvert, you can longshot down the entire South side to the SE corner (Shantytown), and vice-versa. Also, for some guns (SMG, pistol) you can get longshots from the NE corner (Back Alley) to the office, window or ground-level, but fully exposed. Rifles possible but very situational. And of course vice-versa again.

For me to get plat on all my Smgs it took about 3 days total because I used the 2 day xp and switched then after all was maxed I switched to other guns, then after xp was over I started camo grind. Moral of story level grind comes first

I’m at 8 days and I only need 4 AR’s that need long shots. I’m grinding because I want the tacticolor jar with Damascus it looks sick. But yeah pretty time consuming grind. Most fun was the knife, least fun was the shield. Ironic how they’re in the same category yet we’re on the opposite spectrums of fun for me doing this grind.

Some useful advice with none locking launchers. Is that if you're trying to scrap certain things harriers. It'd be helpful to light it up a bit first with your gun

weapon xp boosters are absolutely priceless when going for damascus and using a new gun. unlocks new skin categories in literally half the time. maybe finish the battle pass and then bite the bullet and spend $10 to get the premium for the boosters

Sorry I know this is an old comment but I'm pretty much in the same situation. I'm a couple of guns short of platinum for everything... except launchers which I've barely touched. I'm wondering if I should just give up on Damascus now. Did the launchers take you long? Do you still have a soul?

@@chiconico. my bad, didn’t get the notification until now! The launchers themselves took me a couple weeks, and Damascus is definitely worth it! I don’t use any other camo now (besides platinum on a couple guns) You can do it, I believe in you 😊 The launchers did kinda make me wanna kms, but the only really bad challenge was probably shooting killstreaks down with the RPG

I only have snipers, pistols, launchers and melee left with a bunch being close to being done. Idk ive been at this grind since launch, I honestly am just about to give up. Ive grinded for black matter both bo3 and bo4. Idk man...i do like the camo look but this grind is unreal for a blue and red platinum mixed camo.

i wont be going for Damascus. I just got gold on the MP5, AK47, HDR. I love how gold looks in the game. I may just use grind for gold on weapons I use on ground war.

Currently doing my grind at the moment. (got MW in January). Platinum - Marksman/snipers/knife. Maxed level - assaults/smg's/shield/launchers. Barely touched - Shotguns and LMG's and pistols... Will be a fun grind :P

I've been just a run and gun player ever since COD 4, but the first weapons I unlocked the gold camos for were the snipers lol Shoot House is great for longshots, mounted kills, and streaks.

I'm really happy to hear how you get the stripes on launchers, i did notice there was no improving, so now i know that the cold blooded perk is needed. On most weapons i really like the damascus, some say it's not worth it. But on the other hand i think it's worth it, because you master each weapon. So you can play in different styles each time. I even make for each weapons 3/4 setups. For close range, mid range, far range, mobility and so on. Great video!

something that helps is multitasking skins, for example if u use a deployable shield and mount it u get both crouch and mounted kills pair that up with longshot kills if u place the deployable shield in a long are on some maps

Shoothouse is probably the best for longshots. Sit behind the wall at the spawn and look at the other, there will be people there constantly.

It’s 2022 and i didnt focus on damascus in 2019 i just loved the game, then 2020, i didnt really care either until i got my hdr gold from warzone, and 2021 i wanted to focus on damascus, and i never got it done. Now in 2022 i will fs get it done!…hopefully

There's a spot at Rust, where you can get both Mounted and Longshots. I can't really explain it. But you basically mount at the Blue tunnel container between the corner of the pipeline tower and the empty area/spawn. Mount there pointing towards the red structures/area. You should be seeing under the vent stair that goes toward the third floor of the middle structure to the other side of the red area. Where people most of the time spawn. Your gonna have to figure it out. You get both Longshots and Mounted.
