I highly doubt the scepter will make a return. It housed the Mind Stone and Loki was only using its power to brainwash minions to work for him (Hawkeye, Selvig, and the attempt on Tony) Loki's power runs mainly within the category of illusion. He is the God of Tricks and lies, after all. Illusion magic works well to trick enemies. While he has other abilities, that's due to him being a God, or a demi God if we're getting technical as he's only half Frost Giant. I do, however, really want to see them explore Loki's magic more. I feel as if this series shows Loki's power grow as he actually explores how powerful he actually is as a God. We know he's powerful, he's a God, after all. But I want to SEE it

If Loki saves the TVA does that mean he has to return to his pre-set role as a villain so that others can live out their pre-set roles as heroes? That would be a horrible outcome after he'd finally learned how to be his own person.

Well, Loki does not necessary want to or has to save TVA, he needs an army to stop the invasion from happening. Sure TVA is his best option right now, but the TVA can't stop an endless army meaning his plan to hold the line won't work. Not to mention TVA Loki had two objectives. His primary objective was to save his mother (Frigga) and then to protect Sylvie. Now that he is glitching through time (most likely because of Sylvie actions) and may not survive the long term pain. He may have to use his time wisely. He might have to put things in order to either save himself or to fix the timeline. Meaning he may have to see his mother again and allow her to die and has to accept that he is responsible for her death. And knowing that she can tell Thor apart from his past and future self, she will definity be able to tell a vengeful Loki and a broken Loki in front her eyes. I am more interested to see his mothers interaction with Sylvie, and how it leads to her character development. Loki might have to fake his death or disappear by season 2 end and exile himself to the void so that Sylvie might not feel grief of losing him because of her foolishness and just assume that he is still alive after his death and search for him throughout the timelines. The Loki we came to know and love can't avoid death, but he defiantly won't die as a villain.

@@shadowknight2500 That is such an interesting idea! I haven't seen anything indicating that he'd visit Asgard during this season but then they aren't showing us everything. And it would certainly be interesting if Sylvie accompanied him. I'm sure they won't let Loki die as a villain, but I would hate to see him lose the personal freedom he gained by learning that his earlier actions were not his free choice.

@@lefantomer well, my theory is based on the assumption that, there won't be a season 3. As for visiting Asgard, they don't have to create a big CGI scene, Loki was Stuck in a time loop with Sif. While it was used as a comedy scene, we got to see why he does the things he does, and for a split second it was meaningful. They can create a new scene where Frigga meets 2012 Loki and Sylvie, and Loki introduces her to Sylvie and she senses their chemistry and asks her to look after him, since as his mother she knows that she is the only person who he truly loves, and finally comes to know what her future holds, that would explain why she suddenly changed paths during the invasion scene. This will have a huge impact on all three of them. Loki finally being able to make amends with his mother, since he knows that during his last interaction with her, he was full of hatred which he regretted. Sylvie being accepted as a part of a family and as a daughter or daughter in law by her mothers counterpart. (emphasis on being accepted) Frigga, seeing her lost son finally home, happy, in love and fighting for something bigger than himself. And would understand that her death plays a major role in his life and leads him towards his redemption and happiness and will accept her fate for her sons happiness.
