I think perhaps leaving the smaller tumbler in the press while it preheated might have caused discoloration due to having it in longer?

Love this tutorial. You are so funny…. I love both but if i must choose, i will go for the oven. It can take longer to pre heat but when all the tumblers/ mugs go in, i will have time to do finish other projects to. I am saving for one. The mugs came out really good the only thing is the one with Williams had a lot more color to it than the Smith mug. All in all I loved the way you showed how each oven works. Great Job!

Loved your video! I was sublimation-curious (lol!) and I've seen several mug press videos and I would 100% get the oven because you can do more at once! Of course, your point of not wanting to use that oven for just ONE mug, you'd probably want to do several at a time. Excellent video, thank you! 😉👍

I loved both of them. Wish I could have both because if you have a large order, the oven would be very essential. Small orders would be done efficiently in the mug press although the implements would have to be changed out. Both did amazingly well. I think it was the pressure that caused the color change, but I still thought it was beautiful.

The one that didn't come out right was because you had it in the mug press machine while you waited for it to heat up. That is what caused the fade. Other than that I love your videos. Such a beautiful lady and a wonderful presence. Fun to learn from you.

I love my jtrans too. I use 185c for 6 min on tumblers. And colors pop so nicely, full wrap or front and back. Of course using skrinkwrap. Because using 195 for 5min would burn my images a bit. So I started testing and best of the best was 185c for 6min. Thumbs up!

On the mug press for the tumblers your suppose to rotate them 180⁰ and press again cause there is a gap at the top where the heating element is not touching the tumbler

I've seen people use their convection oven to blur or "burn off" ghosting or badly pressed images so they can repress onto the same tumbler, would this oven do the same thing? I am obsessed with the oven now, thank you for your video!

Thanks also for your authenticity in your presentation and showing what can go wrong when things do not quite go as expected. Also Katrina, I keep wondering what that small tool is that you use to help unwrap the finished products after heat pressing etc? I have purchased a seven piece heatpress and mugs and a few t-shirts to try out too, but have not used the machine or worked the process yet so have been learning from you and a couple of other KZbinrs about what is needed and about how to operate the process from start to finish.
