This video highlights the amazingly talented designers and engineers that are exploiting modern materials and technology. However, there is always a but! Flying electric vehicles and that is all types, including aircraft and manned drones suffer from two current drawbacks, sufficient range to make them cost effective to potential businesses, after you consider the initial outlay, and two: government regulations, particularly for the " manned drone" flying vehicles. At the moment 2022, the skies above us are virtually empty up to the various normal flight paths dedicated to light aircraft and above that the commercial jets. Thus, potentially you have a huge area in which to fly the electric vehicles, however the lower you fly the more chance of hitting ground-based obstacles, electricity pylons, trees, buildings etc. Hence, there will need to be extensive flying rules and regulations and yes, approved pilots training and licences for all of this class of vehicles. The current microlight rules would probably need to be updated to include manned drones etc, it will be interesting to see how the lower sky is controlled once it is filled with manned drones and other electric flying vehicles criss crossing each other in a hap hazardous way? Maybe there will be aerial traffic lights? Can't see it being allowed somehow, not without strict flying rules and safety regulations!

@@petittoto7433 I don't think all eVTOL's are a scam per say but there will always be outliers taking advantage of an emerging market. I'm not sure how this will all be regulated but I highly suspect automation, gps appointed flight paths and interconnection will be a integral part of personal aircraft. Let's see if level 5 automation happens in cars first and see if it can transfer over to aerial vehicles.

I wish I could see more ionic thrusters, electric motors like these are nice, but ion drives have the same performance as like a jet engine, and it's still all electric. They'd work in all the same aircraft. Just neodymium, spinning a mercury conductor, inside a ball bearing system, within a tube. Tube opens both ways, for forward and reverse thrust, and if you close both ends, and open the bottom, by the bearings, you get VTOL AKA: the Schumann SF-Levitator

There will NEVER be a "flying car". Because there can be no such thing. Anything that flies is an aeroplane, and must follow aviation rules. Which makes a flying car useless, because it can't be used as a flying car, it can only ever be used as an aeroplane, landing and taking off at airports. If you can't see this, there is literally no hope for you.

But I'm just trying to be constructive here: I think you should rethink your narration. Thing is: I always feel bad for non-native English speakers that try to narrate in English in order to get a larger audience and do a really lousy job at being coherent. But you obviously are not in that category. You're what? Northern US? Canadian perhaps? I dunno. I'm Dutch. Wanna 'up' your subscribers? I'd look into some elocution lessons. Remember: Your audience does not only contain native English speakers - very much the opposite - and, you know, those that do not follow you will not follow you. Follow me?

YOU ARE WRONG 👎 Wigs are boats. Wing in ground planes are planes. The Lun you show was a BOAT as it could not sustain flight above the ground effect. Hydofoils erase the benefit of not hitting submerged obstructions like a barely floating log or the corner of a shipping container. The toy model looks not in the ground effect at all, thing is riding up on the step to me. You have no idea what you're even saying 👎 Its not a simple mistake either. It is foundational to the definition 👎
