Recipes: #2,#3, I would bake the “shells, first, THEN ADDED THE FILLING!! #2: Personally, I would sub out the cottage cheese, for whipped and lightly sweetened cream cheese. #4: Question for the “bakers” out there. At the temperature she is using, is 30min enough time to fully cook the apples?? #5: Personal preference-I don’t like baked, mushy tomatoes, so I would just make these “cheese” only. #7: Again, personal preference-I would leave the sesame seeds off. I MAY brush the tops with melted butter, and shredded white american, pepper jack, provolone, or other cheese. (However, definitely NOT mozzarella!!)

Making Ina Garten's Winter Squash soup tomorrow. Recipe has 5 ingredients plus salt and pepper and is absolutely perfect as written. I choose to use vegetable broth. I tried adding garlic because I put it in everything but, nope. Not good. I will use my square masher to mush it up before my immersion blender goes to work. Actually, I might make it today and let it completely cool so I can puree it in my Ninja in 2 seconds flat. I'll still mash the squash chunks up a bit first.

With the strawberry pastry (2nd)…after brushing with egg wash, sprinkle some sugar on the dough….will give the dough a nice crunch. .Do that with all the sweet pastries
