James Jean is my favourite artist too (I have his Fables cover collection). I feel like his compositions are unlike anything I've ever seen, as well as his colours and subject matter. I know what you mean about getting emotional about his work! I recently also bought Loish's artbook which was good too. Love your channel and art xxx

I remember getting this paper magazine years and years ago and in it Mark Rydens art piece The Creatrix was featured in a page and I fell in love with it and ripped it out and hung it on my wall for years before I knew anything about him. James jeans work is lovely as well, also I met Camilla at Comic Con this year her work is lovely! love your art book collections

Great video, I really love James Jean. I have a few of his books too and they're by far my favorites in my collection. Someone I find hugely inspiring is artist Allen Williams. He mostly works in graphite pencil, and some painting as well. If you like dark, otherworldly creature and monster designs, he's right up your alley. His use of texture and organic forms is to die for!

I have the Avatar and The Legend of Korra Book 1 art books. those shows, in general, just inspire me to be myself and reading the testimonials of the creators and artists is very comforting for me. I would like to become a graphic novelist so I turn to those books to see how, and how long it takes, to create an interesting character design.

Art books are the stuff of dreams. Oceans, deserts, angels, forests, still life, plants and people -- the images stay with you long after you have finished the book. Sci Fi art books are even better. The artists are very inspiring the most I loved so far are Camilla D'Errico and Xiao Bai because of the techniques and the symbolism of the drawings. As in Xiao the women aren't just innocent but have a mysterious dark side to them which I found amazing and Camilla Ive always love pop art and it just inspired me in the style I'm going for but also combining Xiao's as well. A challenge I do accept👌🤗🤗😊😎

You should try Benjamin Lacombe ! His style is near to Mark Rayden! And... do you know Alphonse Mucha? He is my favourite artist, he was really falmous at the beginning of the 20th century.

If you like dark themes check out Hieronymus Bosch (if you haven't) He's a 15th - 16th century Northern Renaissance painter. I grew up with art books featuring renaissance painters, and I loved getting scared by Bosch's work ;). I also admire Olja (Olga) Ivanjicki (1931 - 2009), a Serbian contemporary artist.

I have a suggestion!:You HAVE to see "le monde d'edena" by comic artist moebius (Jean giraud)! His artwork is colorful scifi stuff with elements of surrealism. I love the way he adds color to the environment of his art as well as the way he dresses his characters! Very inspirational, some of his artwork is also kinda fantasy inspired, I strongly recommend it!!!

Personally, I find it really hard to find art books that I actually like. I normally just find myself looking at art zines on Etsy, they are good prices and have a collective of sketches (and sometimes finished pieces) which I oh so adore. I do recommend checking out Etsy for art zines, there are a lot of artists that have very unique styles, that can be used for inspiration.
