7 Jabba’s Sail Barge (and Palace) Figures Hasbro Won’t Make & How You Can Make Them!

When you think about all the characters from the original trilogy that haven’t been turned into action figures by Hasbro it’s the human characters that seem least likely to ever be made as official figures. So this video goes over 7 figures that you can make (some very easily, some require painting and sculpting skills).
Any time I combine body parts it is through boiling and popping. The figures I used have very compatible body parts, and do not require much work beyond boiling and popping to swap parts.
Heads don’t require boiling and popping, but some might require dremeling to make things fits snugly.

I’ve started collecting parts for a Jess custom, because like you said it is pretty unlikely that they’ll make her. When I get her and a couple other figures done I’ll post another video like this one.

Yeah, I can see what you’re saying. This is a noskillcustom that I am using as a placeholder for when I get around to making a more accurate figure. But you’re right- when I get around to it I will be doing a wash of sandy beige /light brown overtop to make it more accurate.

I made a few of the aliens 15 years ago, but they really don’t hold up very well. As soon as I get a chance to make them, I’ll make an “aliens customs” video. I’ve got a couple in progress already.

When I say that Hasbro won’t make these figures, I don’t really fault them for that... I imagine these would not be the most requested figures ever, but I’m obsessed with all things that have to do with Jabba’s Sail Barge, and Palace. Gailid and the mercenary pilot were essential for me because they’re on the Skiff. Taym Dren Garen was also essential for me because he’s the guy who shoots Luke, Nibor Ris Evarb because it’s a funny moment, and the other two guards because they were easy headswap/reprints (no sculpting). The woman I made just because she was super easy (noskills!), and could be undone if I ever wanted. About the AOTC Coruscant bar... I hear you, I definitely plan on doing it, but I have a few videos that are in progress to do first. Thanks for the input!

I made a figure of him using a POTF Han in Hoth gear back in the early 2000’s and I really want to make a new one before I show it off.

What do you use to hollow out the heads? A dremel or a drill bit? Or something else?

I used to use drill bits, but I drilled right out the top of a character’s head too many times , so I use a dremel tool, now. However, sometimes even the lowest speed on my dremel tool is faster than I want, so sometimes I put a dremel bit (usually a sanding bit) in my variable speed drill and that works pretty well.

I have a few more figures I need to make to complete the scene (including a larger Sarlacc pit), but that is something I’ve been seriously considering.
