Great tips dave...Richard gene (the fishing machine) fishes that lake and he's caught some big flatheads and blues from those waters . Maybe you two could meet up sometime..thanks for your posts dave and I like your sweatshirt...

That would be cool! RGTFM is my favorite on KZbin just for the simple fact that he fishes for everything just like I do… But catfish Dave is probably my favorite when it comes to catfish… I started watching back early on when he was just getting started. That would be one hell of a collaboration… lol

Love the way you're not scared to show everybody all your technique And I know how hard it is to net a big one by yourself And you make it look easy One of the best fishermen I've seen Thanks for all the tips

Hope your are getting some well deserved income from the channel. A lot of us are watching and wishing we could be there. You make us feel like we are there with you.

I’ve live here close to Guntersville all life and never fish for big catfish until the other day. I went out with Blacksheep Catfishing Guide Service, J.R.Hall to do a KZbin video for my channel Rocky Drake Outdoors. We caught 2 over 60lbs, and 1 over 50 !!! Incredible day on the water ! I can highly recommend Blacksheep Catfishing Guide Service J.R. Hall 💯 I really enjoy your videos Dave !!

Thanks Dave! Your Show is the Best year round catfishing entertainment. Those Potomac young bucks don't have a clue how to grow a channel without screaming like idiots on a live stream. You have proven your master level for years over most of the chasers. HLC is another great non shilling channel that you obviously like. I hope you and HLC can do a collaboration and show the wannabe catfishing channels how it is done. You rock!

You forgot one thing, A BIG NET!. You and the kayak guy are the reason I even started fishing for catfish about 3 years ago. I have a place on a lake in GA and almost every time I'm there I 1st work on catching a bream then as soon as I have one it goes on a 5/0 circle hook 1/2oz weight and then out it goes. Our place is about middle of the cove and would say catching most of these fish in 8-10' of water. I say you need a big net because I lost one of the biggest yet because he would not fit in the damn net I had and after about 4 attempts he finally broke off. I fixed that problem though, and just 2 weeks ago landed a 38" blue that was FAT!!!!!! My biggest to date is 42" blue that I got when the lake was down and I was able to climb down in the mud and drag it in, never forget that. BIG THANKS for all the info and entertainment you provide!!!!

Tell you what Dave, sometime you gotta come up to Michigan. Fish the Saginaw River that goes into Saginaw Bay/Lake Huron. Freshwater ocean, there is NOBODY who fishes catfish here. Literally. I tell my grandsons that fish bite twice a day: Just before you get there, and after you leave. Also, the lake I fish most, Lake Overholser in Oklahoma City, I have seen evidence that what you say is definitely true. No matter what size or species fish these people catch, they keep, or at least take away from the lake. Oklahoma has a possession limit on most species. I have seen people catch the limit, carry them away, then return to catch more.

I got super lucky on my very first cat fishing trip back in 2020. It was early spring perfect temperature day. I didn't know much about cat fishing. I didn't have the rods reels weights or hooks. However I went anyways. I took my 12 ft jon boat and parked it in the bend of the creek right behind my house. With in 30 minutes I caught 6 blues and the last blue was 70lbs by the scales. A truly awesome day.

Thank you sir. I enjoy watching you videos. Ive fish for 50 years and yet caught anything over 15 pounds and that was common carp. I love fishing and fish for everything and anything. My biggest catfish was around 9 pounds but that was like 37 years ago. I caught a 6 pounder this year. I use all different kinds of baits this year. Up til this year I mostly fish with night crawlers and stink bait. Unless I'm fishing for carp I make my own. I just start experimenting with different techniques different baits and set ups. I'm very limited on tackle and gear. Even started using Spinners and jigs. I live Illinois along the Mississippi River. I stay in the Quad City area. If you ever up this way I hope to meet you in person someday. Also I do nothing but bank fishing. Wish I owned a boat. But thank you again for your videos and tips. Fish on keep your lines tight and hooks sharp.
@MrOldclunker Жыл бұрын
You have to be fishing where the big cats are located. Big cats take a lot of food, so a large food source is essential. Locate the bait and you'll locate the big cats. A good LED light in the water will bring in the bait fish if the water is clear enough.
