Rumours for 10th ed box are pretty Terminator heavy. Last I heard it's Terminator Captain, Terminator Librarian, Terminators, some new kind of Veterans, Primaris Incinerators/Flamer Aspect (because copying the Eldar is what marines do in 40k now) and a new Dread. Hopefully that also means that they have a full multi-part kit for most/all of these ready to go soon after.

I think tyranids could be a really interesting space for design especially for exploring elements they don't bother with as much in the standard army like: Feeder tendrils, camouflage, flesh hooks, rippers in air vents. Also in the lore carnifexes are sent to ships to board them so maybe some of them.

A kill team GW should release, and that I've been waiting for since when the game was published is"Inquisitore & retinue". For start, they literally sell books about the adventures of an inquisitor and his retinue. Also, it would be both a kitbasher's dream and would allow GW to sell some old leftover blister.

Elucidian Starstriders make for a really good inquisitorial proxy team. You get the inquisitor themselves, their retinue of offballs and specialists and 5 inquisitorial stormtroopers / planetary militia / kasrkin what have you.

I don't think we'll see anymore first born kits outside maybe anniversary for 40k. I don't think they'll legacy all the rules anytime soon, but I don't think they'll expand. HOWEVER, you will get all the first born love you could want in 30k, so still plenty of those style models there.

I really agree with your wish list. I'd especially love to see bespoke Aeldari and Death Guard. One option I'd love to see that you didn't mention is an Inquisition Kill Team. An inquisitor and their retinue. It would probably need to be a WD list or a free download, as you could not build it out of any single existing box.

I think the reason for no squat kil team rules is that if they make them to soon, many people might get their squad itch scratched from only making a small kill team. Get people to build an entire army, then get the rest with a smaller Kill team.

I think the way to do Eldar is to pair it with refreshing some of the aspect warriors that are ageing the most. Then they can get *really* distinctive. What about Warp Spiders bouncing around the board?

Kill Teams I wanna see: 1. Full Primaris Deathwatch Veterans. Not an upgrade sprue or a white dwarf, a genuine fully updated kit for use in Kill Team and in 40k. 2. Inquisition. Make a really flexible plastic Inquisitor kit with tons and tons of options, with different heads and torsos and bits for different ordos, and have acolytes fill in around that. Interrogators, Bounty Hunters, Savants, Psychic blanks, Daemonhosts, you name it. 3. Chaos Cultists. Maybe the new Cultist kit with an upgrade sprue. Could have a mutant or an accursed cultist, maybe give them a psyker, some special weapons, and maybe even a torment that takes up like 4 slots but is an absolute beatstick. 4. Khorne Berserkers. These guys could do with a White Dwarf, Warpcoven style. World Eaters are new to 40k as their own faction, and they should follow into Kill Team. They also seem fun as hell in the cramped confines of the Gallowdark terrain. 5. The Fallen. Fallen Dark Angels would be a perfect kit to update with a Kill Team kit. They got removed from the CSM codex a while ago and could use some love. Could also transfer over into a troops choice for CSM, and a Fallen subfaction. Maybe in a sort of Eldar Corsairs and Yriel special army. 6. Black Templars Crusaders. Perfect kit for a white dwarf, if you ask me. Could have oaths inspired by their codex supplement. 7. Tech Priests and Servitors. I'm drawing really heavily on the Mechanicus game, but an explorator team with interesting tech priests, and a bunch of Servitors as chaff sounds fun. Servitors could use a new sculpt anyway, and there's loads of options they could make for Tech Priests to load up on. 8. Assassins. An officio Assassinorum Execution force is an interesting idea to take to Kill Team. Maybe involve smaller assassin temples not otherwise seen. Could fix up the nonsensically expensive assassin kits, and give a bunch of assassins you can take individually in 40k.

The "basic" Eldar could have a team where they can pick any 4 of 6+ lists of models. The lists could be such as 3x striking scorpions, 2x howling banshees, 2x dark reapers, 3x guardians, 2x fire dragons etc... The player can choose any model from any of those sublists to be the exarch which comes with a few perks and of course the exarch model on the table. The profile of the exarch will be different based on what they decide to promote. To me, Eldar have a variety of units in 40k which don't get enough table time and this would be a way to balance it out a bit and get some variety

I personally think that Kill Team is a great idea for testing the waters with new Guard regiments. Since the guard are so expensive to produce compared to Astartes, since they've got quite different sprues from each other, a kill team would be a nice way of testing the waters to see which ones they should invest in and which ones aren't as necessary to make. For example, if the Vitrian Dragoons got a box, I could see them selling well. But if they don't sell well, at least they have a box and are models for those of us who like them

It would be cool if we could get multipart kits like Wargames Atlantic do. Would allow us to mix heads and weapon options to make different regiments. Catachan/Ork Hunters, Mordian/Tallarn, Cadian/Chem dog. Would be awesome as well if they were a little cheaper. I've spent a fortune getting my guard to 2000pts, and that's WITH 3rd party bodies as a base.

Deathwatch actually have an amazing team. 1 melee specialist, 1 heavy, 1 sergeant, and 2 normal operatives. Tons of options for each, normal can take bolters + sword, shotguns or stalker bolters, melee can take either melee + shield or a heavy thunder hammer, sergeant is the same as the melee guy only with more options, and the heavy specialist gets 2 unique heavy weapons

Yes, yes, and again yes, and more yes! I totally agree that all those teams need some kill team love, and I think your ideas are a great place to start. Personally I'd love to see Craftworld Eldar, Tyranids and Custodes reworked. Death Watch just needs a white dwarf update to increase their viability the way you suggested. For Eldar I'd definately include wraithguard, they are iconic. But also farseers and warlocks. Eldritch Storm as an indirect barrage AoE ability would be insanely fun to see on the board. And to be able to choose the rest of the list between rangers, guardians, the weapons platform, warp spiders and howling banshees. For the Tyranids I feel there is so much untapped potential. Again your suggestions definately need to be included but I would also add a Zoanthrope. Add some psychic flavour to Tyranids, a heavy gunner type specialist that can wreak havoc from the backline. And a hulking monstrosity like indeed a Lictor or a Carnifex. For Custodes I feel including the Sisters of Silence is definately the way to go for variation, and focus more on how they work alongside Custodes like in the "Talons" tactical ploy. If that were the focus of a bespoke custodes team I'm all in. All this can be done like we see with the Admech and Pathfinders. You take less skitari in favour of sicarians. Or you take the recon drone instead of 2 other operatives. It would add theorycrafting back into the game and it's a great way to have variations, different playstyles, while still maintaining some modecum of balance in those teams.

I love that the compendion Eldar dont come with tons and tons of specialized rules. Sometimes memorizing rules for models that get shot in the first round is a real downer. With the compendium Eldar I pick a bunch of rangers for sniping a box of Dire Avengers to get objectives or screen the rangers and I am ready to play. There is joy to be had with simplicity. Wraithblade teams would be great though! In line with the Tyranid warriors or custodes they are a litle bit tricky to balance compared to the 10 dude teams but I would absolutely love a team of them.

Intrigued by your eldar Idea. An aspect warrior squad is all folks talk about, but would be nightmare to acquire a varied squad. LoV is a no brainer, but I'd like to see it closer to the bespoke gsc rules, with options beyond hearthkyn. I still want an inquisition /rejects vs moebian sixth box. Darktide could use some synergy. I imagine a nids box would look like the hierotek box. Troops + some unique stuff and a big leader model. Lastly, grots. Make team of like 16-20 where they all have GA 2 for a hordier style of play.

You know... Raveners aren't as old as you might think. The year on the sprue is about 2009? Not quite 15 years ago. That's barely anything compared to a lot of other stuff in GW's product range. I'd like to see a Craftworld team that gives you more freedom to mix and match Guardians... or even something with Rangers. I want to know what happened to WD teams in general. Are they now just going to go straight into a KT annual book? Or are they not going to happen at all? I'm looking forward to some Chaos Beastmen in Kill Team. There's at least 2 Rumour Engine images that I think may be from some new beastmen.

Loving the wraithguard big-stompy-not-robots idea. I've been looking for a new team that's a bit more than just the 10 humans stat lines. I might have to put together a Wraithguard plus Dire avengers team using the Custodes and Sisters of Silence rules. Also, where are all the Eldar aspect warriors? Personally I'd like more unusual stuff, things like the Kroot team. Lesser races, rarely seen units etc. Just some suggestions: - Exodites - Catachans - Inquisitorial Retinue - Dark Mechanicus - Vespids - Que'vesha- - Dark Eldar court - Tyranids (they've been essentially ignored thus far) - etc. etc. Enough with the endless Space Marines already ;-)

Yo wraithguard would slap, you could crank the Comms Operative up to 11 and have the warlock handing out loads of the AP, making them an eternal VIP. Suboptimal but very fun to play and fight against.

Since they will never turn up in the regular game otherwise, get those Tarellian Dog Soldiers. They get mentioned loads and can add another tactical troops unit for the Tau. Also, when you use them in a game, you'll get the opportunity to look your opponent dead in the eye, and ask "who let the dogs out?... I did" before you table them with massed boltgun and pulse rifle fire.

A space Wolves dawnguard/team Jacob where they've now use the curse of the wulfen initiation to become bloodclaws is done during kill team type missions. Radical inquisitor 'suicide squad/dark tide' kill team Slaaneshi human 'whoor-house' kill team....if you've read the ciaphua Cain books you'll know what I'm talking about

I know it's yet another human team, but a proper inquisitorial team with an Ogryn option to counter the team with a Chaos ogryn, I mean, i'm suprised they haven't already to jump on the Darktide hype. I'd also love to see old marines get some love with a Sternguard, Company Veteran, Tyrannic War Vet or similar such killteam, perfect way to intro some new sculpts that are better scaled or even just take an old box and give us some cool stuff with it. I also really wanna see them do more of the esoteric stuff that is too minor to do in 40k but would be perfect for killteam, Gue'Vesa (yet another humie team), and hell, I'd sell a kidney for Legion of the Damned, and some minor Xenos factions seeing some love

I think they could foray more in the direction they took with the Hierotek Circle - the leader on a bigger base, for example. Like, why not give one of the SM factions a lonely terminator-clad model. I do agree that it would be really nice to see a squat Kill Team. They've been out for some time now and there've been neither head nor tail seen. As you've mentioned, a WD article would be good for now, as their basic squad already has some of that KT feel to it. In all honesty, even though it makes absolutely no sense, I'd love a LoV vs either daemons or Khorne cultists box t o be the final box for the season

If GW re-did the Kasrkin in a Kill Team release. Then here's what I'd like to see for the Craftworld Eldar, instead of a fancy group of Wraith units, I'd like GW to refresh another one of the Aspect Warriors. Maybe the Warp Spiders or Striking Scorpions would make for an interesting Kill Team? Because we need more Aspect Warriors in plastic!

Although you would run into very samey loadout problems, scorpions from a lore perspective are practically made for kill team Sneaky fast ninjas that are great at hiding and jumping out to strike loudly and painfully

Would also LOVE to see a Primaris kill team that’s like...1 intercessors, 1 assault, 1 Hellblaster, 1 Eliminator, 1 reiver etc. but I understand they don’t want a kill team that needs like 6 different kits.

Daemons, there is no kill team for them at all, and the rules are thin on the ground for them. Definitely need some love!

Main Kill Team I would love is an Inquisitor and retinue. Seems tailor made for KT.

Adding vehicles to kill team might have a dangerous ceiling, but I’d really like if we got some biker rules and similar, though if we don’t it could just be a fun homebrew idea

I'd love a fully fledged Assassain Execution Force Kill-Team! I love what GW are doing with KT and I wish they'd make a real Execution Force team.
