I have discovered that one needs to tread very carefully when trying to introduce this kind of thinking to fellow church members. There are sermons delivered regularly at level 4. Two weeks ago we were told to teach our youngsters that they don't have to understand what God says, they must just obey because He said so. I have said on various occasions that I am very uncomfortable with some things being said from the pulpit, and keep trying bit by bit to encourage other thoughts about the way we see things. It is hard going when minds are already made up in a legalistic, crime and punishment, sort of way.

When we live at level four and below there needs to be a law for nearly every circumstance. Wow

I am a missionary doctor who loves people and who loved and served people even before knowing God, because I was altruistic as my parents. Through the communist atheist education, I was a moral athee, who kept 8 of the ten commandments, except 1 and 4. I am a sda member since 27 years ago. Even though I love my sisters and brothers, not only I am not thanked and appreciated for that, but it happens very often to be misunderstood, misinterpreted and isolated by pastors and church committee and members, as they follow their example. The reason: I operate at the 7-th level of understanding God's character and plan of restoration and they, who were educated and grown in the church, still remains at levels 1-4. I am disgusted of their show on Sabbath day, when they glorify one another and follow worldly habits, instead of preaching Jesus, our Righteousness.

By the communist education I was an athee. By my parents' example and influence I was an altruistic and very honest person. When my father died, I loved him so much, that I wanted to know what happens with human beings after their death. I bought a Bible and I started to study it. So, I found Jesus Who is the Way, the Truth and the Life. He conquered my heart and I submitted to Him. I started my relationship with God directly at the 5-th level and then grew in knowing Him and understanding His character. Unfortunately, most of the people educated in the church remains at levels 1-4 even when they get old. But I had no reasons to misunderstood God's Law, Love and character, as I watched in prayer and studied the Bible and the spirit of prophecy. There are enough verses in the Bible which reveal the truth about God, so we don't need to get confused, when we are honest with God, ourselves and others.

You could have included the next phrase in 2Tim 3:5 which says "from such turn away". You are still in level 3 or 4 by not understanding Paul is the apostle to the Gentiles and to pull church doctrine from Romans thru Philemon.

Since when can we as Christians judge what "level" we (or worse, others) are at, spiritually, in the eyes of God? Seems very human of us. I don't think God wants us to have the burden of judgement of ourselves or others, with our faulty vision.

No, I think it reveals that there are many immature in Christ who whilst having good intentions put up barriers towards unity in the church.

So you can divorce if your spouse simply lust after another in the heart??? That’s also being unfaithful 🤔

Ryo I like what Jesus said, “except for fornication”. I heard that the word “fornication” means “Pornea” which means to penetrate. So lusting in the heart doesn’t cut it!🤷🏾‍♂️
