Anna has a lot going for her, learned to drive, is working, was doing great at her college with marks and the siblings appear to be close which is a good thing so they will have each other in their lives.

I hate the way they treat Anna. And what kind of weird parenting is it when the parents get to decide where you will go to college and what you will major in?? Last season the parents told their therapist that it's the way they do it in their family. The kids don't get to choose their own major?? No wonder the older ones are scrambling to get out. I think these two are subpar parents. They think they're just wonderful, but their parenting style is deeply flawed and unfair. If it's one thing kids hate it is being treated unfairly or differently than another sibling, but that is exactly what these two do to their children. You can see that the three older ones are sick of their double standards and want to get away from them.

If you watch the show down through the years you will see they want her to take responsibility and they do love her. Anna is a good kid but at times a total slacker. You cant move out and only have a part time job. That's just common sense. In previous seasons before she graduated they offered to pay for her school just like with the older son but told her she needed to maintain her grades and other responsibilities and she didn't want to do that. Even when she was around 16 she had her get her driving privileges but the parents told her it was rules she has to follow and she didnt. Anna wants things her way but fails to stay consistent on doing her part.

Jonah has always been outspoken and there has been some very tense moments with him however he does not seem to get penalized. Everything Anna does is held against her and comes with harsh correction. I feel the children are in such a hurry to move out due to the relationship they have with their parents-they are too controlling. Trent and especially Amber needs an attitude adjustment they are running the older kids off. I love the show but my heart goes out to Anna.

We have a young adult in our home. Hes finishing highschool, works and is planning on eventually moving out( within the next few years). He already knows in order for him to do that he will need to be more established and working a full time job. He is also fully aware that once he moves out we ( my husband and I) are no longer financially responsible for him so hes working toward that. Anna has a part time job, has no real plans or nothing in place yet wants to move out. A lot of young folks do this cause they no longer want to live with their parents but in reality most parents just want their kids to move out the correct way and not cause they in their feelings. We as parents dont want our kids to struggle but if the grown ones insist on leaving prematurely then we cant stop them.

I began to not like her after she told Trent to take back a tool he had purchased. She even boxed it back up and said it was going back. He should have told her he was going to keep it but instead he just got quiet. I felt bad for him. It got to a point in later seasons I just could not watch an entire episode because of her attitude. She thinks she is an expert about everything.

I'm glad I'm not alone!! That whole issue with the pool really got to me too!!! I am also reminded of the time she couldn't go to the dance but had to watch her sister getting all dolled up to go.. They welcomed the sister's boyfriend into the family and poor Anna is probably single because she wouldn't want to bring anyone home to her parents knowing they would probably have a problem with him like they do with her.. You know what kills me the most, I saw someone else bring it up on the comments but the whole college issue.. The fact that the parents decided and told her where she was going!!!!Who does that omg it was painful to watch her go to the school how uspet she was n the mom sitting there with her ugh. But nothing was worse than when they went to therapy. The therapist asked if she felt like they were just shipping her away to school(which they chose for her) but yet Jonnah was allowed to stay home. Wow. That was pretty much when I stopped watching. That poor girl is a beautiful young women with the best sense of humor I enjoyed watching her the most.. She needs to get away from them and enjoy her life. I think the parents are strict but wants the best for there kids. Maybe it's time to let the apron strings go. There young adults and it's time help them choose what they want to be as adults.

Summed up: Trent is scared of Amber Amber is a control freak and lacks empathy. I think she projects and really needs to look at herself introspectively. Anna just wants approval from her mum, but Amber chooses not to give it to her. She’s often disingenuous - for example she knows full well that when Anna says “I want you to be more excited” in regards to her moving out that what she really means is “I want your love, support, backing, confidence and approval” similarly with how she does with Elizabeth. Anna is literally crying out for it and Amber knows this but would rather be sarcastic about throwing Anna a party… really cold. She then drives away rather than talking it through with Anna. So mature. You’re the mother amber. Run kids, run.

With all due respect, everyone is entitled to their opinion. However, we are giving our views as outsiders/observers who only see the few minutes of the family dynamics on the show. As little people and parents to children who are little, Trent and Amber have nurtured these children as they evolved and know their strengths and weaknesses; so are better placed to advise them truthfully. Don't judge them. Try to understand that they too have lived and experienced the challenging life of little people. All I can see is they mean very well for their children at that age with the given limitations in the world they live in.

I don’t think the parents are controlling, they are teaching their kids about budgeting, pricing, etc. The parents are also right about having a full time job, you need income in order to pay for your living expenses. I would just ease up on correcting the kids so much - they need to feel a sense of concord of their own lives. Too much correction can lead to second guessing. They just need to give their kids more space to actually live their lives and carry out what they said they were going to do.

There are so many months that things can go wrong and pile up so if you are JUST making enough to pay all of your bills it could put Ana in a bad sitatuion. Everyone thinks Anna is a punching bag, to make fun of, to be the butt of everyone's joke, to be seen as useless and hopeless. Anna never wants a pity party, she just wants to be given encouragement. Anna is a character and likes to laugh and be funny however it doesn't mean you guys get to disrespect her. She gets more negativity than positivity. In one episode, Anna was going to go away for school. Emma kept saying things like, I can't wait, I will not miss you, and I think she even mentioned something about her farting (see let's embarrass her), who cares? Everyone farts. I bet if the producers asked this question. Do you see Anna moving out on her own and being successful? All of you, would say something negative or laugh or say something positive and then include the word, BUT in there. Anna is a beautiful and smart girl. Not everyone has to be Einstein, I wasn't. Anna, you are a people person and your interactions with kids is really beyond beautiful because you listen and give encouragement and love.

I agree with her mom - what excitement does she want? That she can't pay her bills and mom and dad have to pay for everything? Good for Elizabeth for having a plan and making it happen. Also mom and dad seem to be really having some issues. You can't expect your kid to turn 18-19-20-21 and be the perfect adult ... it takes time - and they should really throw them a bone sometimes .. without those kids they wouldn't have that nice house, nice bank accounts, and this tv show.

Ok first of all i hate the way they treat Anna. And i hate how they always go after Elizabeth for just speaking and say she has an “attitude” like what. Also the dad drives me crazy how he always “why are u so stubborn” when he literally is hes a hypocrite. Yes they want their children to be responsible adults. Amber & Trent do expect a lot of their children like getting an education & a full time job ( which shouldn’t be asking too much) bc being a Little Person is difficult finding a job etc. Trent & Amber have always tried to prepare them for the reality that life is hard especially as a little person & they need to have all the tools possible to be successful. It’s amazing to me how many ppl are ok w kids being disrespectful to the parents after everything parents do for their kids.
