I really enjoy your reviews when I am thinking about a palette, because I can practically see if I would be able to create looks I'd like. I also appreciate that you seem to actually enjoy makeup, you create neutral looks, colorful looks, bold lips, bold liner, whereas it feels like a lot of beauty youtubers just like creating one look and using one nude lip that they find "flattering" and nothing else. I LOVE that purple eyeliner with your brown eyes, it's STUNNING!

If you don't want to spend the money on the Too Faced glitter glue, I've heard that the NYX glitter glue is a good dupe, and it's half the price.There are also glitter glues even cheaper at the drug store that would probably work fine. You can always try wetting your brush with a setting spray and see if that works, too. I'm sure most of you in the comment section are aware of all this, but I figured I'd mention it just in case there's anyone watching who is new to makeup or glitter. 😊

I have tired it and I didn’t like it as much, so I just stick to what works the best for me and I think it’s completely worth the investment. I have also had this tube for around 2 years and it’s not even half empty so it’s definitely worth the extra money

@@KitschSnitch Aw, that's too bad. I suppose someone could always buy a mini, or even get it in some kind of holiday value set. Is the Too Faced primer okay to use for non glitter eyeshadow if you set the base? I know you used it like that in the video, but do you think it works as well as regular primers? I've been wanting to get an eyeshadow primer and a glitter glue, so if I can get one product that does both, that would be awesome! Maybe I could get a mini UD primer potion and a mini TF glitter glue. That would be such an amazing holiday set!! Sephora or Ulta should get on that haha. By the way, I noticed earlier that the new Smashbox foundation has a light olive shade! It looks like it might be a good match for you, if you're interested.

I would always recommend getting one of each. You *can* use the glitter glue as a normal primer, but it is unnecessary and will make all of your shadows VERY intense looking and harder to blend. If you like that look then go ahead, but is generally not needed on a daily bases and you are creating more unnecessary work for yourself if you are trying to use it as a base for a wash of colour or a mainly matte look. The glitter glue is US$22 or AU$30 so it is not as cheap as NYX, but it's not ridiculously priced. If you use it only for glitters/pigments/shimmers that you want to intensify, it will last for years and mine hasn't dried out after a couple of years of owning it, so it's great! However I do think for regular daily use it is too heavy duty and it is best to have a standard primer on those days. If you can find minis then that would be a great way to see the difference and try them without committing to a full size. But do give them a go, in my opinion you can make an expensive eyeshadow look/wear horribly with a bad primer/no primer, and a cheap eyeshadow look good and wear well with a great primer so they are foundation of any eye look and they are worth investing in so you can get the most out of your eyeshadows. I have heard the standard too faced eyeshadow prime pretty average so I would avoid that. UD is pretty decent and easy to use. One of my favourites is the NARS smudge proof eyeshadow base which comes in a transparent version and also tinted versions. Oh I am planning on checking out the new smash box foundation, I am waiting to see it in store so I can colour match properly. Hailey bought it online and really loves it!

Nope. This one has been lasting me ages so I don't really need to try any others. Also BYS has never impressed me so I find it hard to justify spending money on them when usually I don't end up using the products. It might be a good comparison idea on BN though!

Honestly the shade that interests me the most I basically already have 😅 (the brown to blue) So if you're only interested in that, consider purchasing "glass bull" from colourpop, its gorgeous and I feel like it doesn't even need a primer 😁 plus there's also one called " tea garden" that's the green version

I love these videos/in depth reviews. And thank you for illustrating the shadows on bare skin, primer, and glitter glue because I don't have a glitter glue but also didn't REALLY get how significant the difference would be using something like the TF one. GORG.

I just learned about this palette yesterday and couldn't believe it'd been hiding from me this long. There have been virtually no palette releases in this price range over last several years I've liked enough to buy. I've been waiting for a palette like this! One with beautiful textured, unique, wearable shades... Not just the standard "nice" neutrals or hundred+ dollar palettes for intense glitter and shine. This is the best one I've seen at this price point for what I currently love in a palette!! Seriously, more brands need to do palettes like this. Your looks and review convinced me to buy it; especially the look you did with the gold and purple! First palette purchase since 2017 for me, so I'm very excited. Thanks for doing this, Kat! 😍😘

Yea, it's kind of expensive for what it is. I would be more tempted if it were $35 to $40, rather than over $50. I'd want the mattes to be a little more noteworthy for a palette that expensive.

I feel like some of the glittery shades I was most interested in look purpley pink in the palette, but when swatched pull more coppery and orange. Those types of shades do not meld well with my skin tone haha 😋

I think the product where you mix it with the glitter made by companies is called glitter adhesive more so than a glitter glue primer? Maybe I have just made that distinction on my own 🤷‍♀️ but like the Lit cosmetics one or the _epoxy (can't remember the word before it, think it starts with an F???)
