പണ്ടത്തെ ഒച്ചല്ല ഇപ്പോഴത്തെ ഒച്ച് ജനിതകമാറ്റം വന്നെന്ന് തോന്നുന്നു. പണ്ട് ഉപ്പു വെള്ളം ഒഴിച്ചാൽ ചാകുമായിരുന്നു. ഇപ്പോൾ ചാകാറില്ല. അതിൻെറ പുറത്ത് വഴുവഴുപ്പുള്ള ഒരു സ്രവം ഇല്ലെ. ഇപ്പോഴത്തെ ഒച്ചിന് അത് വളരെ കട്ടികൂടിയതാണ്. ഒന്നും അതിൻെറ ദേഹത്ത് തട്ടില്ല. ഉപ്പ്‌ അതിന്റെ ദേഹത്ത് തട്ടാതെ അത് ഇഴഞ്ഞ് പോകും തല നീട്ടുമ്പോൾ അതിൽ ഒഴിച്ചാൽപോലും രക്ഷയില്ല.
