If you buy quality sweaters and take care of them, they won't pill. The tighter the knit, the better. You can wash them inside out, in a mesh bag if preferred, on the gentle, cold water wash cycle. Use Woolite and a liquid fabric softener. Lay them to dry;; a wooden drying rack is invaluable and cheap. Thank you for another great video, Heather!

Very helpful tips, and it does help to see examples! I think as we journey through life, we (hopefully) get a sense of what works for us at our current age. It seems to be connected to having a personal style, knowing what that is, and allowing it to be fluid. The socks are a good example of something that looks like trying much too hard to hang on to another era. I do enjoy seeing your real life examples!

This is such a great video Heather ! I was taught that layering is the key to staying warm in the winter weather, but I agree that it adds so much bulk to our bodies. Save the multi layers for the outdoor sports and go for the tailored looks you show us here. So much better !! I bought that navy zip up vest and I really love it. It is perfect for the cool fall days here in Texas when it’s still too warm for an actual coat. The big scarf you show would be perfect to wear thrown around the shoulders as a shawl. I actually wore that navy blazer to an outdoor BBQ on Friday as it was cold outside. I agree the scarf could be used as a shawl. Have a great rest of your weekend Lisa!

I find that sweaters from Walmart pill 💊 so badly. Ladies, don’t waste your money there. Spend a little more for quality. For instance, I have a Ralph Lauren sweater that’s about 5 years old and it looks brand new. My cost per wear is so outstanding.

Great video! I love the comfort of the wide-legged jeans and pants. I am only 5'1", but I wear my shirts tucked in with a belt (I am blessed with a small waist), and this helps keep it in proportion.

Thanks for your advise, you always have good sense. I do like crew socks but I only wear them under pants though not cropped or ankle pants. I only wear no show socks with cropped or ankle pants because I'm not crazy about them but they can be useful so I always keep some in my drawer. My youngest adult daughter wears no show socks with all pants (she has done that for many years) but my lower legs would get too cold in winter to do that even in my apartment. I like that you wear a jean jacket. I have one but only wear it as a sort of blazer, not as an outdoor jacket. Also I really dislike animal prints on myself. And also plaids though I have a pair of pj bottoms that I like. Not saying they look bad on other women--just that it isn't a look for me though of course I have tried plaid shirts since a lot of women wear them.

Try crew socks with sporty slides and slightly rouched lower, sporty socks in similar color to slides or shoes not contrasting. Wear with sporty skorts, casual bermudas, and jean shorts. I wear with a baggy casual linnen dress. Much better look for the Nkle socks when sporty.

I don’t think I have any leopard print left in my wardrobe. I’m sure I’ll find something. But I’ll only wear one piece at a time. It looks like you are losing weight. I love the wide leg jeans. But I know to wear a shorter top with them. I even bought a short jacket to wear with them. My granddaughters wear crew socks with their shoes. They have been for a while now. But it’s not for me either. I wear my no show socks. Maybe if I wear pants I’ll wear crew socks.

Does the moto jacket need to size up? True to size? I typically wear a large but the shade has me nervous since I carry my weight in my belly. But I don’t want the shoulders to be too baggy either. I love the navy!

It's a stretch material but read the size chart and compare to your own measurements. I had to size up

I have never owned a leopard print anything. As I was growing up, it seemed like every “bad” girl, or outright hookers, in the movies wore leopard print. I just always think of them that way.

I have a very large bust and find it difficult to wear some fashions. If I wear a wide leg pant then I need to wear a more fitted top. However, the fitted top just accentuates my large bust. Can you advise please?

if you wore a darker color on top that is a bit loose that could work but I say you can pass on the wide jeans for now. Many women are not going to wear them for reasons that you mentioned

No mistakes. Just opinion and/or trends. However, the big scarf can stay in the store. Yuck. I dislike animals prints in general, so no worries there. No crew socks with skirts. Wrong kind of vest for layering. You don't layer a puffy vest. Who does that? Funny how you went on about the crew socks, then bought crew socks to go with your lacy skirt. The material doesn't matter, it's the where they hit you on the your leg. No trends - just wear what makes you happy.

I follow a lot of trend setters online, and they *are* showing puffy vests layered with blazers, jackets, and even long, light, wool coats. I won't wear that look, because I agree with Heather -- it packs on the pounds.
