"I don't love her that much!"... made my day... about the important questions, hair conditioners are meant to reduce the friction between the hair strands, so you can comb the hair without pain... I don't use it, but I think every woman does (and have multiple)... I have 4 women at home and one of them works at "Lush", so you can imagine my bath tubs... it even has dry shampoo or conditioners that come as a dust. brave new world out there.

Nice list. One simple thing that never seems to get mentioned is a helmet sunstrip. Homemade or can be found online in various colours. They really make riding on sunny days more pleasant.

Yep, saves having to wear a helmet with a peak. I'm (very) old school and have been using a strip or two of black insulating tape for many years. :)

The clear film is cheap and very effective. No reason at all not to use that and if you are worried you cant cut and apply well, get some and learn by experience! For the tire fill valves I applied a small mark of colored electric tape on the rim by the bead. Same as caps but free... if you have the tape already.

This has convinced me to finally try a windscreen deflector for my Tiger. Being 6'2" the stock screen doesn't quite do it for me. For a more svelte, less fiddly phone mount, check out the Peak Design MC mount. Not the cheapest, and also requires a phone case, but in my opinion much better than the Quad. The same Peak Design photographers know and love for well designed camera accessories.

That’s a very good list of items often overlooked. I use a CTEK battery maintainer that has a conditioner built-in. Seems to work really well. One other item for most riders is a very small air pump and a tire plug kit for tubeless tires. You never know when you might have a flat and being able to repair it and then ride slowly home or to buy a new tire can be priceless. Don’t bother to ask me how I know! lol…. As always, thanks for another great video! Ride safe my friend! Cheers…

For tailbags, I have a 3-5L Qbag (name of the brand). This is fantastic, the mount stays on the bike, you just undo a zipper and take the bag with you! That’s fantastic, no messing with straps each time of removing the bag. They have many models, I have the 16L one too with unzippable mount plate.

Yes I too, resisted a screen deflector for yrs, but I fitted a cheeeap one to my vfr1200 (before I found a genuine Honda deflector) and it worked brilliantly. Confirmed by it coming loose once (my error) and falling flat, followed by a what felt a hurricane hitting my helmet.

Intelligent conditioners actually shock the plates to prevent sulphate building up, which eventually kills batteries. And it let's the battery run down and then rejuices it. I think...

A charger recharges, a tender keeps it topped up , a reconditioner desulferizes a battery , sulferizing slowly kills a battery. Keep in mind you might wanna get one that also charges a lithium battery in case you decide to upgrade later .

I fitted a TEC bike parts rack to my Speed Twin. As a rack it works quite well. It doesn't improve the looks. Especially when I have the removable huge 56 litre GIVI top box on it. My wife does like the back support though ! She still insists on the belt that goes around me to give her "grab handles" .

Difference between a charger and a "tender" I would have thought is all down to does it have monitoring electronics that stop over charging. Although maybe this is just my definition. i.e. on a "tender" every so often some clever electronics switches off the charge, then monitors the voltage level of the battery, if it's high enough it doesn't bother charging anymore . Waits a while, then monitors the voltage level again, if it's below it's threshold voltage, a burst of charging. Switch off the charging again , and what is the voltage ? ad infinitum until it's unplugged, just keeping the voltage level at about the peak the battery should be. Now I don't know if all battery chargers do this these days. I'm sure my Oxford "Oximiser" bike "tender" does this. Of course the "tender" and charging needs to be the correct one for the battery chemistry. Most bike batteries are still lead acid, but some fancy bikes now have lithium ion, and I assume they'd need their own special rules. However a lithium ion battery is likely to have clever electronics inside the battery. So dunno on that one ! (If I had a bike with a lithium ion battery, I'd make sure what type of "tender" to connect to it) In my shed I have car battery chargers from about 30 years ago, and they didn't do such clever things, on those I had to remember to not over charge. So I'd call them "chargers" . Oh for simpler times, yeah it was possible to damage and overcharge batteries, but I was 30 years younger !

Yes, I suppose a charger charges (you can tell I went to university...) while the tender makes sure it stays charged
