One of the great frustrations of my life is that a new 20th century, high quality reprint of Law's English Edition, of Boehme's Works, was not produced. Second to that is the fact that Freher's Complete Works have still never been published. What a terrible shame that is, in both cases.

An 8th principle of Boehme to consider might be his ideas concerning the Schrack, the Salnitric Fire-Crack or solar Flagrat, generated via friction and inner crisis, the Magic Fire-Flash rising at the heart-centre and enabling breakthrough from the Dark Wrath-world in transfiguration into the heavenly Light-World : the rising Morning-Redness that Blake calls 'Eternity's Sunrise'. It's a highly dynamic and alchemical concept of spiritual regeneration and the secret processes of the interior life.

Think alit of people have come to realize. there are two sides of man's nature. That of a spiritual side that of a animalistic side. that focused on material thing's or desires. Sex money drugs gambling etc. Violence killing. That's what the two triangles in the hexagram represents. One triangle point up for the spiritual side needing to be higher than the lower triangle points down the animalistic side.

The Holy Spirit is the mother

@@C.R.C. The Holy Spirit did not exist until the Separation. It was sent in the same moment the Fall occurred. Before then, the Father and Son were one; no need for a principle of reconciling to exist. See ACIM, which Jesus (the manifestation of the Holy Spirit) wrote for us in this, our own era.

Thank you very much. A most interesting exhibition that I'd love to see. Just a small correction: at the end of the XVI c. Goerlitz was NOT on the German-Polish border. I think the town was a part of Bohemia then (later became a part of Saxony). Nowadays it indeed lies on the German-Polish border, with Boehme's house located in the Polish part and his grave situated in the German part, just across the river. There is a little exhibition (almost like a small museum) in the house, with a very nice view of the river.

This exhibition looks great. I can remember first encountering those incredible folding plates in Law's edition of Boehme - amazing works of esoteric art as are those Gichtel engravings. Likewise Freher's illustrations of 'the deep principles' of Boehme's doctrines, great meditational symbols of Theosophia. That gorgeous manuscript of the Secret Symbols of the Rosicrucians is very striking - an arcane diagram in that treatise really opened up my understanding (Verstand) of Boehme's concept of the 7 Principles of Eternal Nature.

Where does it say "I wisdom was with the father from the beginning" in eclesiastes?
@MrHwaynefair3 жыл бұрын
It doesn't (as she says) in Ecclesiastes - the closest thing is Proverbs 8:23 ff. And this has been associated (from the earliest days of the Christian faith) with Christ - called by Paul, "The Wisdom of God", 1 Cor.1:24, in whom are hidden all the treasure of wisdom, Col. 2:3

@@MrHwaynefair So it looks like she is full of it then. Not surprised.
@MrHwaynefair3 жыл бұрын
@@bropeterdimond well- I wouldn’t necessarily throw out everything she (or Boehme) says because of one misattribution... I’ve recently become interested in Boehme because he played a part in C.S. Lewis’ conversion from atheism to Christian faith... But the ancient aphorism stands, “Test all things, hold fast to the good...”

I think she might be referring to Ecclesiasticus, an OT apocryphal text?
@MrHwaynefair3 жыл бұрын
@@NigelJackson Yes- you may be right- Ecclesiasticus 1 sounds very similar... I apologize for my deficits with the apocryphal writings (I was raised Baptist, so that’s my excuse 🤗 - but then maybe not a good one seeing that one of the best among Baptist forebears was John Bunyan who first experienced deep conviction by recalling a passage from the apocrypha concerning sabbath breaking...) Thanks for your correction!
