Its funny how YSG was best pair for Boudica 4 months ago and now after we have ZL, everybody says he is trash. Answer is: He is still amazing (nothing changed) but there is a better option. Its not like you are gonna get worse trades than 4 months ago

So I cross-migrated back to KvK2. We just ended KvK2 early because our opponent had more whales & my kingdom was Vietnamese. From my experience, the benefits is if you’re at least VIP 12 you can easily hoard universals & events with universals are easier to rank in, same for MGE & you can hoard those things easier plus gems & rewards from chronicles. Because they moved SoC commanders to Season 3. Its a waste to invest in any pre-Season 3 commanders. Honestly you have to do nothing for 8 months. Only the top 10-15 players in my kingdom had YSG expertise Lilith needs to fix this. They need to make early game commanders viable in the end game. I had 0 motivation investing in Pre-Season 3 commanders. And so did other ppl in the kingdom. They felt like it wasn’t worth it.

If your kvk 3 no ysg unless your a archer main then he is a amazing choice whenever you play relic level 2 fucus on him makes ysg better too in kvk 2 alex ysg was a meta march untill his relic he doesnt have to be with archers

You must have YSG. They will need one more AOE archer to "possibly eliminate YSG. That 5 target AOE and relic is just too good to pass up plus his relic of defense and skill damage will get stronger

Unless you are going to duel 1 on 1. I still think ysg is better than Boudicca. Yes. Maybe you may take a couple more hits with Boudicca but in kvk. It's all about the more target you hit the better. With ysg and ZL buff. Ysg damage should also increase. As an archer march. You shouldn't be fighting anyone to the last troop anyways. Put your ysg/zl out hit as much target as possible. When you are targeted. RUN!

I personally think that you may wanna stick with the same troop types as the commanders you've already expertise. I'm a little on the fence about boudica prime anymore, kind of afraid she'll be wiped out of the meta with the introduction of smite commanders. Liu che on the other hand, very solid commander and pairs well with scipio. Sargon seems to do a hair more with che, but its very marginal, and scipio is far more versatile commander as well. Have you started in on any other commanders, not including gk commanders? Edit: I meant to mention the liu che is also very usable at 5551, possibly even 5511, but definitely a commander you'll want to expertise eventually

@sheenae8219 you're welcome. So yeah, i think your next best commander option would be Liu Che. He's definitely powerful, and not affected by skill damage reduction affects, also adds some speed and defense to your march, with an awesome 5 target AoE, perfect for a murderball. Theoretically, you could go with Zhuge Liang, and pair him with YSG for a massive AoE dps, but there's no march speed, and that makes it vulnerable to being swarmed out in the field, as well as not being able to catch an enemy march to hit to start with. My personal opinion is that march speed is far more valuable than its given credit for, particularly for open field fighters. I hope this helps!! Enjoy, and take care 😁🤘

Different KVK’s will unlock different commanders. Around 90 days of your kingdom YSG will be available, kvk 2 is Alex and kvk3 and SOC (season of conquest) will unlock the remaining commanders but wheel of fortune brings more commanders.

Honestly nowadays I do prefer Huo over Joan. I just don't really like her lack of stats, sure you can make the argument that she makes up for It with a double active skill but realistically stats are very impactful for the damage you deal and the damage you take, which down the road might be the reason that makes her fall off. Also my Huo is just doing significantly more damage, so if I'm ever down to 1 cav march I'll be using Huo/Nev, personally

my huo mostly sits on the bench. joan is so much better than him and I often regret investing in huo. nev joan performs much better in the field.. aoe is where it's at, not single target

I 100% agree to some degree, but my difference in opinion is I believe if you're going to invest at all, just go all in and expertise him. It's amazing how relevant he still is this far into SOC with a double relic. Nev/mina rallies are the real deal, for sure. And for swarming structures, perfect pairing right there.
