Great suggestions, so far and I'm just 5 minutes in. I agree it is a good idea to have a CCS adapter, but please note: your editorial comment about NACS not being the standard is beginning to get a bit dated; with Aptera, Ford, GM, Rivian and soon likely others hopping on the NACS bandwagon, NACS is looking to live up to its name in a couple of years.

Tire tread depth gauge! It is under $7 and much better than trying to use a coin to check your tire tread depth. Since you will rarely need to go to the repair shop, I think this is a must, to stay informed on your need for rotation or for new tires.

What about retractable roof shades? Would make a ride more comfortable.
@jayhache5609 Жыл бұрын
I couldn’t find an inexpensive retractable sunshade. So, I just went with inserts, which work fine, other than the rear shade constantly falling out… I finally just took it out altogether, since I rarely have passengers back there. But the shade for the front seats is very nice to have. Highly recommend.

Re tire inflation: Modern Spare carries spare tires that fit Tesla's, including Performance models. Commuting earlier this week another vehicle kicked some ice chunks across the freeway, I hit one and it pierced the sidewall on one tire. No way the inflation and sealant kit was going to handle it; but about 20 minutes later I had the spare on instead of needing road-side assistance. Made the extra 40lbs in my trunk the past few years worth it. Their full package includes a jack and some other nice-to-have stuff; and the tires are rated for ~80mph so you don't have to worry as much about going too slow for freeway traffic. Also, Performance 3's, at least when I got mine in 2019, only come with summer tires. Being in Minnesota I picked up an extra set of wheels with equivalent winter tires, plus a torque wrench and better floor jack. Got home and just swapped to the summer wheels so it's not a rush to swing by the tire place. I keep the torque wrench and wheel/maintenance supplies in the frunk which helped with the spare too (no guess work when torquing the lug nuts down).

Jeremiah, thanks for yet another great video. Because of your videos, we bought a Tesla last week and will be in the Netherlands in a couple of weeks! I bought many of your accessories from Basenor. Like it very much, and are ready if the car arrive. There is a question I like to ask. Is there a way to add the Premium Audio from the LR and Performance in the RWD Model 3? The Hansshow Audio Upgrade is not really what I'm looking for. Did you change anything on your Audio set-up?

Can you leave the mobile charger plugged in to 240V? I've heard that the 240V outlets are not suited for repetitive plugging and unplugging.
@jayhache5609 Жыл бұрын
I had a similar question, since I just moved into a house that has a 220 outlet in the garage. My amateur take from researching is that as long as you keep the amps down, it won’t overheat your home wiring, i.e. do long-term damage. Plus, slow drip charging is best for the batteries, anyhow. Cheers!

I can't believe you did not include the roof shade given the insane amount of heat generated by the sun and the glass roof...I tried one made by topfit...don't waste your money, it was useless. It didn't even block out the sun...I returned it and am searching for another.
@liarzdice Жыл бұрын
I totally agree that the sunshade is a must! I did buy the top fit for my 2023 MY and I couldn't be happier. No wrinkles, fits nicely and you can feel the difference in cooling the cabin. Where do you live? I live in California where the summers get into the triple digits.

It's annoying when people always assume that just because their screen protector cracked, that means their actual screen would have cracked. This is totally false. Screen protectors are MUCH weaker than that actual glass on whatever it is you're using. In most those circumstances the glass would be just fine. The screen protector does absorb any kind of force it receives, but that does not mean the screen would have cracked. It most likely wouldn't have.

Unless Tesla use an USB-C connector, using a SSD won't give you an extra performance. You are still restricted to the maximum speed a USB3 port can do. I bought a USB3 1TB stick, works fine for me.
@koskelaatte Жыл бұрын
Using a USB3 stick doesn't mean it has the full usb3 speed, or that it can do it for a long time. Also, usb sticks will die fast if you write a lot of data to them, like video.
@user-hp1gn5mg7c Жыл бұрын
@@koskelaatte I've been using my usb3 stick for over 3 years, still working fine. Don't see your argument that a SSD drive works better since both are restricted to the USB3 connection. I've tested this on a linux system, getting around 120MB per second with both devices.
