Have you ever thought about an NBA player that was in the spotlight one moment and then seemingly overnight you never heard their name again? While you might hear little snippets of info here and there about the players mentioned in this video, nowadays these guys don't have spots on NBA rosters for various different reasons. These are 7 NBA players that disappeared from the league suddenly.

Man Cousins has to be unlucky as hell, he joins the GSW the year after they win and is cut the year before Denver wins their championship

I think he was injured or cut from the 2020 Lakers but they did send him a ring when they won the finals.

Well, in my opinion, they really don’t count anyway if you’ve been tried yourself to a ring😂

This is just by my understanding, not saying this is in stone perfect logic. Cousins: Couldn't defend the pick and roll by the end, constantly attacked in playoffs. Also not a reliable personality historically. Howard: Good player still but was a frustrating locker room presence who if I recall correctly was in a dispute with the NBA about following rules in the bubble and was almost dismissed from the playoffs. Whiteside: Bad locker room guy, great defensive stats but terrible results guy who chased blocks and gave up tons of points off cutters and offensive rebounds. Kemba: By the end his knees were so bad he couldn't guard anybody and was a complete liability. Stevensons: Both were just notoriously difficult personalities on and off the court. Summary being, these guys were all difficult to deal with, which is fine when they are at their peaks, but once the talent drops off they aren't worth the trouble.

Dwight Howard was out of the league quick after the lakers championship because of his attitude. He put his head down and worked hard as a solid role player that year, but then immediately started complaining about touches and playing time and other crap you should not be hearing from your 35 year old backup center. We thought he had left that attitude behind when he joined LA, but it seemed he was just putting on a face for a year. His attitude is not worth having him on a roster spot, even for a minimum. He would just be taking a roster spot from a player who's much younger and still more mature than him. Dont feel bad for him, at least he got the ring. Honestly attitude issues killed a lot of these guys' careers. Teams are gonna choose the 25 year old with a good attitude and work ethic over the 35 year old with a bad attitude and entitlement issues every time.

I tore my quad once before. It really is slow to fully heal. A month or two and you’ll be fully active again. The problem is how easy it can be to re-injure yourself afterwards.

I have never been the biggest Howard fan tbh.. but his accolades and style of play in his prime deserve TOP75. Kemba was great when actually healthy, and i think Cousins should still be in the NBA .

Whiteside isn’t in the league because he was a constant defensive liability. His high block numbers disguise the fact that his teams always did worse defensively with him on the floor.

If you a center and don’t shoot 3’s then it’s just a matter of time before you get blacklisted 😮 you can’t just block shots and rebound these days cause there’s no post play in the lower blocks, not as a matter of game plan

You collected locker room cancers or played with crappy attitude. Boogie was a headcase all of his career and injuries stopped him to be a factor later on. Dwight argued on his last team with their star player. Whiteside was a net negative defender who only cared about stat, not about winning could he be useful for a team without any under the rim presence? Yeah maybe but he never liked basketball more than a cash cow. Walker is terrible in Monaco! Terrible as a player waste of roster space. Stephenson as well a headcase only worked in One System, anywhere else he seemed like a player who prefers showboating. They are all old players who never shown any sign of being veteran leaders, instead any of them try a player on a 2 way contract makes more sense

If Iverson can end his career in Turkey, no one should be surprised by any of these guys. 😂 Talent aside, all of them had serious injuries, were difficult to deal with, or both. For some (like Dwight or Cousins), who's putting money on de-stabilizing vets? Those are the guys you pay to do the opposite (and produce what they can). Can you imagine a young team "learning" from them? Might as well give up before the season starts...

Just thinking about it teams probably would like to take a chance with one of these players but you got to remember what the average NBA Salary is per season especially for bad to garbage players. I'm pretty sure once they get back in the NBA they ain't playing for a mill or two and change.

There are valid reasons why these talents weren't offered NBA jobs. You end each story w "I can't understand why they aren't in the NBA". Do more research for your NBA channel until you figure it out.
