Bro, that is a fundamental instinct you need to possess. You are right in stating that Indians lack it and brown people in particular lack it (not trying to be racist here but the picture of the subcontinent suggests so). Coming from a BJP supporter, the government in power needs to fight this issue big time as they are no holy cows. If not addressed, 10 years down the lane we will keep forecasting the same shit how we gonna be a superpower in a century and in the process keep on adding 10 years to that dream.
@parmanentdrawing825Ай бұрын
@jyotishkanath6150 well I didn't said indian lack it or brown people lack it. Even if it's your general observation, it isn't a reason to avoid it. We can set an example in the continent by improving upon it, there many African countries that do it (ok not many , but some do). If corruption had not been a core problem in India we would have been a developed country by now and same goes for law and order (as both go hand to hand). Not even the current BJP government is focusing on it and I am very disappoint in them for this. I support them for all the infrastructure development they are trying to do but we need but law and order and corruption need to be cease to exist.

Forget teaching anything to citizen in a "democractic" country. Discipling a population requires strictness & authoritative behaviour & our populance is allergic to authority. They hate being told what to do even if its for their own good. And even if some government tries to do so they replace (through election) them in the election to those people who doesn't really care about discipling at all. Thats why even government doesn't prioritize such issues.

@@millennialmind9507there are way too many dilapidated infrastructure (put a Google maps pin on any city and you will see it in the majority) - building facades crumbling, weathered and changing color, incomplete or non-existence paving, major potholes in streets. Then theres open sewage filled with trash - another common occurrence. A disorganised jumble of electrical wires across busy streets is a major eye sore and a public safety hazard. You see litter and trash strewn across paving and on train lines. Then you have drivers breaking almost every traffic law imaginable (jumping lights when they prefer, hogging lanes and even driving down the wrong side of the carriageway!). India & we Indians in general, learn to be modest first. In India, there's this thinking that India is the next superpower or India holds some special status, etc. This is absolutely FALSE. India, being the next superpower, was supposed to be the buzz word only till late 90s. China started picking up in mid-late 80s & hit peak in mid 2010s. So the thinking where India with similar population & low cost economy could be the next. But India clearly squandered the golden opportunity 50 years (80-2030). Why is US the superpower? Just think of top 10 big "GLOBAL" companies. It is highly likely that 7-8 from that list is from US. Similarly, in 2040 in most people's minds, at least 5-6 Chinese companies will occupy that list. So, the highest priority for India now is first to accept that we missed the opportunity. Though it's too late now, see what can still be done. I know this cannot happen in India because immediately BJP vs. Congress debate would start & nothing gets done like it always happen in India. By 2047, it will be pretty clear when India's aging population reality bites that India didn't really build any big globally dominating enterprises in any field & simply wasted the golden opportunity period 80-30. When China will be then an overwhelming superpower with Chinese global giants in Automotive, AI, Space Tech, Defense, High quality Infra build, Telecommunication, Energy sectors to name a few. So the most important to-do item is learn how to be modest & how to correctly evaluate ourselves by keeping imaginary patriotism away. Accept failures & most importantly, accept others (like China. S. Korea) success.

Since 1947, India’s ruling class has lacked true legitimacy, inheriting power through colonial handover rather than earning it through genuine representation or vision.
