Hi there! I have searched and searched for info about pouring on a re-usable water pitcher, but cannot find one anywhere! Have you ever done that? If you haven't, do you know where I might find a video? I'm wondering if it can be washed for the next use, after it has been sealed with a high gloss varnish, and whether or not the paint would wash or wear off. I sure would appreciate any help you can offer me. Thanks very much! I love your videos!!
@caszscountrycrafts32582 жыл бұрын
If you seal your painted vases with resin you can wash & reuse them safely. The resin seals the paint making it food safe therefore washable and it also helps show the colours off sherry.

How do you finish the vase off? After it has dried and you pull it off of the cup you put it on to drip, doesn't it have some rough edges to the paint hanging off of the vase? How do you finish it? Cut it off with a knife? Also the small 2 ounce paints you used, are they made for paint pouring with the fluid to keep the colors separate? Do you have a link to them?
@Kari772513 жыл бұрын
As far as I know, the cup turner needs to keep spinning until the paint is completely dry. Doing that keeps the paint constantly trying to flow with gravity, but instead of dripping straight down, it also clings to the vase. So, no drips. Kind of like the way rotisserie works - the juices can’t leave the turning meat because “down” is constantly changing.

If you take several bottles of nail polish and pour the various colors in water, then swirl the vase around in it, you can get the same effect without all of the spillage of the paint, and it will be a lot neater, but not as thickly coated. But alas you will have to do the canvas separate the regular way, though. Ms. L. Churchill

I was definitely impressed with all these techniques! How very clever you are! A good friend’s birthday is in 2 days & I’ve been at my wit’s and trying to find just the right gift for her~~I do believe I’m going to give the first technique a whirl & see if I can come up with something presentable. The 2-fer technique that provides you with both a painted vase and canvas seems do-able, although you make it look much easier than I’m sure it is! Thank you so much for sharing your ingenuity and creativeness……many artists won’t share their techniques. Sure hope I’m successful! It’s a very well-done video, no fiddling around or wasted time. I’ll be sure to watch your other videos. Thanks again!
