Got this as a gift I really wanted to like it but I'm a little disappointed for the cost. I have a Sephora dry bar hair dryer I prefer quite honestly. I will keep trying with this since I just got it. I find it doesn't grip my hair and I don't find straightener works that well. The plus is it is small and not too loud Would probably be good to take traveling.

This is the most frequent review I’ve heard. I’m African America and I tried this product at the mall. My bangs were a little frizzy on the ends and after using this it definitely smooth and added shine but the curl didn’t last.

How do you get the styler to wrap your hair like that? I just bought it and I haven’t been able to do that.

Start with damp hair, and make sure the curled hair is completely dry before you switch off. A damp curl won't hold. Finish each curl by holding cool shot until the air runs cool to help set the style. If you have particularly fine or straight hair, the 40mm barrel will probably create more of a blow-out style, rather than a curl. Try using the 30mm instead.

I had this at first when my hair wasn't the right amount of dampness, if it's slightly too wet or slightly too dry it won't hold as well! If you don't think it's that maybe try using less conditioner (if you use it) as sometimes it can make hair too smooth to hold also! Good luck & hope it's sorted for you 🙏✨️

@@xmeygan omg i have an update! i noticed that mousse makes my hair too heavy so that the curls didn't last, so i switched to a curl cream! i don't know in which country you live and to which brands you have the access to purchase, but i'm using the schwarzkopf curl cream and the john frieda curl cream both works well!! maybe that will help you

if you can avoid it, try not to use bleach or straighteners as much as possible to let your hair have time to recover on its own. hydration will really moisturise your hair so an argon oil or a leave in conditioner would really help! the garnier hair food mask is amazing, the john frieda straight shampoo and conditioner are brilliant and more affordable than other brands! trimming the dead ends off your hair would make a big difference too. i have found the dyson to be a great alternative to heat tools, could be worth it if you regularly use a straightener, it’s super quick to use!

Ugh! I can't even get mine to grab my hair! It definitely isn't as effortless as they show in this video. The force of the air just blows my section of hair away from the barrel when I bring it close and makes it super frizzy and dry. I'm so sad I made the expensive mistake of buying it :(

I discovered that if your hair is too wet, it won’t wrap. You have to have it at least 70% dry.

Agreed. It works great on my hair that is all the same length, but on the parts with layers it doesn't work as well. I just got it and have only used it once... hoping I get the hang of it. That being said, I tried all the attachments and I do really like how it works, the dryer is SO light which is great! It really dries my hair fast! (I had a super solano before).

Thanks for your comment, Jen. A tip you may like to try for more control with short sections or layered hair is to wrap the hair section around the barrel by hand in the direction of the arrows while the styler is switched off, you can then decide if you'd like to hold the ends out with your fingers, or let them swirl on to the barrel when you switch it on. Try experimenting, holding the styler either upright or horizontally for different looks.

My friend is a hairstylist and she told me about a amazing hair oil that she uses on her clients. “Color wow” has a spray you coat your hair with called “dream coat” before styling. Then when your done you use color wows “pop and lock” to lock it in and make it shine🙃 She used these on me and my hair looked so silky and stayed!

I just bought it, I’m willing to give it more time but so far I’m very disappointed. I have been curling my hair all my life I’ve used all kind of hot tools. Unfortunately Dyson is my least favorite. It’s heavy and bulky, hot air blows very hard and burns my skin, curling tools are too thick, one need to hold it for way too long to get a dissent curl( while very hot air is burning one’s skin). Plus curl doesn’t hold even for 15 minutes.

Dyson Türkiye authorized service lost my vacuum cleaner, which was sent to the service under warranty. The device was not working properly since i bought. First i send it to the service, the service sent it back to my home without repairing it. I had to send it to the service again because it was still unusable, and they lost my device in the second service time! Did they specifically delay it until the warranty expired? 750? It costs 500 in spain. It is really pricey but you gotta think longterm. The less damage you do to your hair while styling it the less money you need to spend trying to repair it. Also a product like this should be taken very good care of, and last you a lifetime. I'd say it's worth it.
