I'm new to your channel because i recently learning advance building and is casually looking for better tips for building, and here I am! I love your videos and well organized explanation. However I find it hard to build the right 'scale', sometimes i want my build to be Small but i always accidentally build it too big because I just couldn't start the foundation properly.

thank you!! i'm glad you're finding the videos helpful :) and yes, building at the right scale is definitely difficult! one thing that can really help with that is making a basic foundation in a test world (ideally in creative mode), and only building enough to get an idea of if the scale works or not. if it does, it's easy enough to write down the dimensions and rebuild in your main world. also, there's a very helpful Fabric mod called Litematica, which allows you to save builds as "schematics" and reload them in other worlds! it's insanely useful, and i use it all the time for my videos 8)

Awesome video, but I have to add that clay is much finer than sand. Even though a lot of times we think about sand being fine, it's mostly just because it's very granular. But actually sand is much much coarser than most other soils, typically from most coarse to lease coarse you have sand, silt, clay. The reason a lot of riverbeds are kind of rocky or sandy is because the sand is More coarse and doesn't get washed away as quickly as finer materials do.

If you want to make something ruined or some type of ruins. what you could do is just build the whole thing and then just explode parts of it...

for sure! i believe in this video i talk about building up a structure and then tearing down parts of it, which is essentially the same thing, but exploding it is definitely the quicker and more fun method :)

@@LeonSBU I 100% agree because it can look more natural. Then you could add more to the build like how you did at the bottom. It makes it seem like it was there in war. I also like to use different blocks to add depth. Like Cobblestone, Mossy Cobblestone, Stairs, Slabs, and any block and fits in. It also gives it more texture
