You thought you were confused!?! Ha, Lol... I felt confused as well on the Yamaha PSR-E363 vs Casio CT-X700, but I decided to go with the CT-X 700. Overall, I felt I was getting more value from the Casio - mainly piano features and the sound 'to me', and etc. The Yamaha piano is a great option as well, but Casio was just slightly better depending on your usage and listening ear. I had experienced playing on both Casio and Yamaha keyboards and I can say at any day, Casio will always win (my own opinion). Its sound quality is brighter and clearer and the keys are better. I find Yamaha keys too hard for my taste. I also find it easier to navigate on Casio's display panel and the freeze button really helps so much for a smooth transition.
@revelation19593 жыл бұрын
Sorry, Ms. What do you mean by "too hard"? Does that mean that we need to push a little bit harder on the buttons? Actually I'd like to buy either one of those, but it's said that the CTX's buttons are harder than the PSR. Is that true? Please answer me. And excuse my bad English.

Great job giving good expert advice on these keyboards. I have CT-X700 and it sounds great. I use the registration banks to create different presets and some use layers which can have really impressive sounds for accompanying in the church band I'm in. I also have a Roland Go Keys that has somewhat more sophisticated sounds but less powerful control functions and capabilities. For example, it has no layering and also the record function does not auto repeat, at least I haven't been able to find these capabilities. Also on the CT-X700, the first available function is transpose which makes it a very fast operation if you need it.

I am a Casio Fan especially being a owner of HT series of Casio since 80s. However, I have to say Yamaha has excellent feature that I couldn't ignore when I learn to play or teach my kids to play piano. That is rewind and forward feature of song. You can quickly go back or go forward to repeat the section that you can practice. All the Yamaha even EZ series has that. But I don't see that in Casio. Perhaps there is but I don't see the dedicated button for it on Casio. Anyway, both are great keyboard.

Very good point. For people who do not already have a seperate audio out setup, this would be a deal breaker for casio. I I went with Yamaha in the beginning because I felt as though Yamahas name meant superiority in quality, but when I got them they still didn't possess what I was looking for. The CTX 5000 was purchased primarily because of price, but it turned to be more than I bargained for! Then just press the third or the second note in the chord on the lower octave (although you can adjust the split point if you want. Totally a encouraging video that either the Casio or Yamaha keyboard will you buy. A great video.
@JeremySee6 жыл бұрын
+George Yuan Laurente Thanks for watching. The bass-on-chord function has also been pointed out by another subscriber Vinciata. However, in my opnion it is not very practical due to 2 reasons:- 1. player has to play 4 notes. Most users of entry level keyboards are beginning learners and will not have the finger dexterity to accurately change 4 notes octave spanning chords. 2. To even play basic chords in C major key such as F/A or C/G or G/B requires a change of default split point and reduces the range of notes below middle C. This method is best used on EW300 which has 76 keys and players cam play chords 1 octave lower. This function can easily implemenged by Yamaha via software. Its a pity Yamaha decided to strip off quite a few of important features a learning student will find useful.

What are the positives and negatives to x and z stands? Also can you do a pedal recommendation video? The Korg EK-50 looks like it has a regular 3.5mm jack for headphones which is cool.

@@JeremySee Thank you very much Jeremy for your reply. Have you also tried out the Roland GO:KEYS (GO-61K) or GO:PIANO (GO-61PC)? I would like also be interested in knowing how Roland entry-level keyboards compare to the Yamaha NP-12 or Casio CT-X700. Sincerely, Rafael

Don't touch the Roland EX-20. GoKeys & GoPiano are good, if you use headphones or external speakers. Internal speakers are tiny. No arranger functions though.

I'm looking to start playing keyboard for the first time in 20 years. Which would you suggest between the two of these and the Yamaha EZ220?

You were going for views on the title in your video "Do NOT Buy..", but it was too abrasive, like you were giving people a negative command. Most people would not watch your video and just dislike your content, even though it was great content. Anyway, great content, subscribed.

I love that your explanations are simple to understand and concise. I have about 4 Yamaha personal (low end) keyboards Would love to ditch them all for a good Casio. Or a Roland One day...

Jeremy, let me correct the registration memory setting on the PSRE363. If you press the regist button, and press the number buttons ex.1, if you shift for the second regist, just press the number buttons.
@JeremySee6 жыл бұрын
George, this only works assuming you don't press a fill before moving to the next registration. And it is only active for a while before it jumps out of registration memory mode.
