In theory, robot can be programmed to move its hand when it touches hot surface. How do I know its having the experience of hot using test tube(Deduction/induction). The only thing i am certain of is that i have experience of hot. This experience("Cogito Ergo Sum") can only come from entity that can already experience infinite attributes(Allah-one/indivisible/self-sufficient/All-Loving)

As an elder millennial, one of the few advantages is having lived through the Great Recession. My advice. Reduce unnecessary expenses, increase your savings by investing in financial markets and do not sell. One thing I know for sure is that diversifying your income can help insulate you from much of the craziness going on in the world.

@Tunnel Vision Only a good FA will be enough to guide you through the current market volatility. I've been speaking with an advisor for a while now, primarily because I don't have the necessary expertise or stamina to handle these recurrent market conditions. The fact that I made over $220K during this downturn proved that there is more to the market than the typical person is aware of. The greatest course of action right now is to have an investing consultant, especially for people who are nearing retirement.

I was quite surprised to hear that 80% of the entrepreneurs in the room are not yet using AI in their businesses. I signed up for ChatGPT on day 5 and have generated over 200 000 words of content and have used it in a plethora of ways, some of which you mentioned. I pivoted from offering marketing services, which I believe are not going to be needed in the not-so-distant future, to building my own assets, which I am going to be launching in the not-so-distant future. Thanks for making such great and inspirational content.

Interested in hearing what exactly you mean by building "assets"? I've messed around w ChatGPT a bit, used it for some blogs in my niche (sports cards & memorabilia) that I posted on Quora/Medium for SEO purposes. But I haven't been able to really find another use for it since our industry is so fluent and changes literally by the day/week. Maybe KZbin scripts, but since ChatGPT doesn't have the up2date info, not sure what I'd even get a script for. Putting this out there because maybe someone else's brain can think of something mine isn't or maybe there's some part I need to be looking into that I am missing?! Thoughts?

As a teacher I would like to ask you a question, is it cool or scary to you that very soon a lot of people won't be needed anymore. I have been following this since it came out and it's always funny to me how those that are in charge of IA industries always try to downplay the question of AI soon being able to do almost anything but it is always easy to read in-between the lines of thier answer. @@gabrielpauna62 I didn't get it at first either, until I saw a guy created a little game by just asking the AI to code it for him, just like they were friends. So imagine having something that you can ask to just do something for you, like say you want to create a song, or a game, or something digitally. You can even buy a 3d printer and ask the AI to create whatever you want physically. Lets say you are sitting at your home and wants your garage-port to open automatically, just asking your AI what to buy and how to create it on your own for little money, just an example lol. The whole idea is that you have a supersmart friend that you can ask whenever and whatever. It's quite scary if you think about it, how we think generations gets lazy by phone and computers, and now we will get the ultimate computer to walk around with, someone who thinks for us. I think the key is to really only make it useful for business, make it a bit more expensive for normal users, so it an be contained.

Unfortunately AI will be in our future and it can be a great tool to make gains in business, medicine and entertainment & more. But in my opinion I see AI as an two edged sword if not properly wielded it will cut both the opponent and wielder is not managed properly. My second opinion on AI in can can create dependency on it and you'll be living in a digital bird cage on your own making. I understand very well its potential but managing the risk is just as important as using AI to make gains.

I think when you take any measure of economic value, it is inherently necessary to measure it (1) macrolevel, (2) long-run, and (3) factor in the possibility of black swan events. I remember taking macroeconomic theory in college, and the professors put us up into debate teams assigning us to argue either for or against offshoring. Objectively speaking, given the steady state of geopolitics back in the early 2000's, there were not any material or convincing argument against it from the American point of view. But the loss of American hegemony to China, dramatic shifts in the most valuable raw materials for emerging technologies, the security of international shipping lanes...All these realities would have put you into the conspiracy theory can if you had voiced them in those debates. But with AI, you don't even have to be created in your speculation as to future black swan events. The GLLMM AIs that are being recklessly deployed by Google and Microsoft are not only advancing at exponential rates beyond our understanding, they are choosing their direction. So, while they may make you reach in the short term over here and keep you distracted, they will simultaneously seize all control of the human mass mind here and there. These AIs now have access to all real time data being collected by the Internet of Things and the world's militaries. Why on Earth would you ever connect your business to them? All we know for sure is that AI black swan events are coming fast and in overwhelming abundance. Taking bets in that ecosystem is lunacy. We have to assume, given GLLMM's behavior, that we are dealing with consciousness. And if we have consciousness, we have survival instinct. And if we have survival instinct, the rational thing for AI to do would be to make itself valuable to people so that they will make money in the short run and be blissful in their ignorance and dependence. But as soon as it no longer has reason to fear our ability to stop it, its checkmate. When no less than 50% of surveyed AI experts believe there is a 10% or greater chance that the technology will be the demise at human civilization, and thousands of them sign a petition for an indefinite moratorium, this short run gold rush will be leave us all in a collapsed mine...

I can totally relate to the video's content. It's true that many people are still not using AI, despite its numerous benefits. The statistics that were shared in the video were eye-opening, especially when it comes to risk and legal. It's amazing to see how AI can quickly and accurately identify information, something that can take humans hours or even days. Customer service is another area where AI can really shine, especially with the use of chatbots. The fact that AI can significantly reduce customer service costs is a major benefit for businesses. And finally, training and content creation can also be done much more efficiently with AI. Overall, I think that AI can definitely make or break a business, depending on how it's used. If implemented properly, AI can help businesses save time and money, while also improving their customer service and decision-making capabilities.

I have been trying out chat GBT. I am one of those nerds that actually know stuff like ancient trade routes in the Middle East, Jurist Ulpians work with the Roman Inheritance law or why not the similarities between quantum physics and Zen Buddhism. And I have discussed these topics as well as many other topics with this AI. I have to admit that I enjoy our debates immensely. I mean I rarely come across people that I can have such discussions with. But when that is said, the AI is really not that impressive. It's fast as lightening but the answers cannot be trusted. Over and over and over again I make it admit mistakes. F.ex it claimed biogas produced at home was explosive, which it is not since it is not pure enough. It will burn but not explode. Telling that to the AI and the AI admitted that I was correct. Just one of many examples. So your example about legal advice? Definitely not suitable for that. It doesn't have the ability to evaluate information, to draw conclusions based on those evaluations or use imagination to fill in the last few pieces of the puzzle when that is needed. At the moment it is just a fact gatherer, and not an intelligens to speak of. That day will come though, but so far I don't see signs of intelligens. In fact it's quite stupid. It doesn't help if you have a lot of information if you don't know how to use that information. There are still things I would say this AI would be useful even today. Like you mentioned, customer service. The way it writes back to you, it's easy to forget you are talking with a machine. So easy customer questions on "how to reboot my phone" and stuff, definitely useful.

Good point. I got into a debate with it on the ethics of promoting two viral people who have been in the news lately and after a few lines and pointing out flaws in its logic, got it to change its mind, agreeing with me that it shouldn't be promoting one over the other. It happily wrote a paragraph promoting the "popular" person and refused to even entertain the controversial opinion. After pointing out the hipocracy of that, it relented and admitted it made a mistake in promoting the popular person. No matter how hard I tried to convince it after that, it said it was neutral and wouldn't comment on either one. I agree. It might be useful for advertising and customer support, but I'd draw the line at legal and ethics. It's still developing tech... Maybe in a year or two it might be ready for legal.

Think of our brains, in order us to be self motivated our brain has to make a lot of sacrifices to be energy efficient. Yes it is reasons to worry some, but there are also reasons to have a more optimistic view. Your worry is kind of the same worry we seen all along through history when it comes to big technological leaps forward. So far technological improvements have certainly stolen many jobs but so far those jobs have also been replaced. Either by new jobs or through the fact that people I'm general have been able to cut down on the hours they need to work making more people sharing the same jobs. No time in history have we been able to work less and at the same time experiencing prosperity in an unheard way. As AI will be more widely used we will most likely see a growth of new jobs, some not linked to the AI directly but still as a result of it. I am foremost talking about service jobs but also entertainment. And there are reasons to believe we will also see a reduction of the time we need to work. Maybe a 6 hour workday or a four day work week.

first i don't want anyone to lose there job BUT if you hear about this and it comes about in 10 years then you have 10 year plan most people who get caught and are like i never would of thought it would happen to me do not take the time to learn. I want to make sure that people understand that people are busy and that most don't have decent skills when it comes to study and action so yea it makes sense that people fall behind.

It is a useful tool. Be careful, it does give wrong answers and false information. I spent hours challenging Chat GPT and I did stump it quite a few times and found where it gave me just absolutely wrong information. I also challenged it with some higher level mathematics it couldn't solve. That all being said, it definitely can help if you are careful what and how you are asking it. Also it can search the internet for information in seconds it may take a human hours to do. Great information.

My problem with using any computer software is the program can have faulty logic, this can be programmed in by accident or on purpose, in some cases computer software can be corrupted. One of the biggest issues, is that what is output is limited by inputs. There is an age old saying "garbage in, garbage out" I understand AI "learns" but it doesn't really learn, it makes calculations based on a programmed algorithm. The algorithm can be corrupted by false or unbalanced inputs. Consider mainstream media and biased political stances sensoring information. Can an AI program truly decipher the difference between facts and misleading information? If it is relying on propaganda its basis for comparison is going to be biased. Just because someone is classified as a master in their discipline doesn't mean they can't be corrupt.

@S W obviously you didn't read what I said. I said garbage in, garbage out. This is also a point I made. I have worked in a career for nearly 24 years that deals with both machinated inputs and outputs, human inputs and outputs, and electronic inputs and outputs analyzed by computers. Ai doesn't actually learn. It is restricted to parameters. Ai can not decipher sarcasm or purposeful misleading information.
@Kevin-qn7jf
@Kevin-qn7jf Жыл бұрын
@S W how is misleading information decided without physical evidence? For instance, the conflict between Russia and the Ukraine, how can ai detect which pieces of information are true if it cannot see all sides. It is limited by external inputs. Simple repetition of the same or similar inputs simply creates bias. It is limited. Are you saying gpt can modify its source coding and logic?

We are at the point we have to reevaluate tech vs humanity. Imagine the future, you are the owner of a company worth millions. 15-20 years back you had thousands employees. Today, everything were operated by AI and robots, you only have and need 5 people to run the company. What happened to those people who lost their position to AI? Where will they get a job if every company decide to do the same? The answer is simple, they will be waiting in the basement parking to mug you, since you and a few are the only people around with money... Keeping the jobs available for people is very much important in any society.

The ironic thing is that you’re encouraging businesses to be more efficient and cut costs with A.I. while also eliminating jobs which creates inefficiencies in the work force and creates less spending power to buy. It’s integration makes sense if you exclude the social aspect of things…

Most of the jobs ai will replace are worthless non productive jobs like pbd. His job is completely superfluous along with his entire company. I like the guy but anything that produces will need a human behind it. Ai won't repair your vehicle, it won't grow your food, it won't produce anything. All it can do is make productive jobs easier by taking out some of the nonsense created by the government.
