It’s hard for me to believe you don’t need prep work for a gel regardless of type.

Believe 🫶🏼 These types of products (potted soft gel) were invented over 30 years ago. A thorough cuticle prep, 180g sponge buffer prep on the nail plate, and cleaning w/ 90% is all you need for monthly wear. I’ve been specializing in these systems since 2015, with hundreds of monthly wearing services since then. When I want more adhesion there are a few extra adjustments I make. One of them being, increasing the grit of my natural nail prep from 180g sponge buffer to 180g board file on problem lifters or long extensions. Unfortunately, most of the education on KZbin mixes all sorts of things together, ultimately doing too much to the nail plate. If the nail plate is too thin that can happen. Consider doing a coat of base gel (cure), then a builder gel layer, THEN file your overlay. This should help strengthen your free edge. Finish it w/ color and/or nail art. 💐

@@PaolaPonceNails I use mega stick base gel but still lifted 🥺 should I use primer after %99 alcohol only on edge? I know we’re not supposed to use them but I thought it might help
