I love Japanese bathrooms, and toilets. What I particularly like is that they don’t have grubby and scruffy tiles on the walls like English bathrooms but a solid one piece plastic type sheet on all the walls - so smart and hygienic.

I learned about the Japanese method of bathing years ago and am happy to see that newer builds in Canada feature the "wet room" with the shower and bath enclosed together. Your bathroom is wonderful! Thank you so much for sharing it with us.

Thank you for watching. That’s nice to hear that Canada is doing something similar. I hope the US will move in that direction as well 🤞

43°C wow, I do 38°C or 39°C (close to body temp) sometimes and I think that's pretty hot already.

Love the tub control panel. As a mom it would make kids bath time easier. Also the shower seat sounds great for pregnant people I hated standing in the shower I got so tired lol

I LOVE that control panel. That’s just a great invention.💖 I loved the post and now a new subscriber!😄🌸💕 Can you help me and tell me how deep your tub is up to the overflow, if you have a overflow..?🛁 Also how tall are you? Would the water level go to your neck or shoulders if you were to actually use your tub? I have FMS/CFS. A soaking tub with hot water up to my neck would help my body pain A LOT. Plus help with sleep too. 🛌zzz…💖 I’m 5’ and climbing into 25”+ high tub (apx a 20” water level) is a scary thought. I’m clumsy and I’m sure I could slip and fall into a high sided tub easily.😖 I have a typical 1951 American house. I think it has enough bathroom space since the a shower and tub separated by a wall that hides the plumbing. The shower and tub are along the long wall side. If I can find the right tub I could remove the wall and make it a “wet area” for the shower and soaking tub with glass doors with long drainage. Unfortunately all I can find are soaking tubs that stand alone and very high. I don’t know how deep I need the tub to be for the to go to my neck. I can’t go leave my house without great care when I see my doctor once a month so “shopping” isn’t an option for me. I think the tub would have to be IN the foundation to be a low step in (don’t know if that’s legal) OR build raised step all around a deep tub. I’m not sure if either is possible or would work (fit) since the bathroom width is wide enough. Plus the expense of such a custom build may not be something I can afford.😢 Thank you in advance if you happen to read this. Love from Los Angeles. 🌸💕🙏🏻

Actually I ended up finding it a few months after making this video. My coworker mentioned it and I got curious so I started looking around. Anyways I found it and omg I’m pretty sure it hasn’t been opened since the person who lived here before me. DISGUSTING but happy it’s clean now lol

i taught at a college for women in Nagasaki. during a trip, we all stayed at a traditional inn with a public bath. i was shy about the bath, so i went at midnight. the students sent a runner that sensei was at the bath. all the students showed up and bathed at midnight. Ha ha

@@bethanyanderson1745Sensei means teacher and I’m pretty sure a runner means a timer (I think she misspelt the “set” for “sent”) So the students set a timer telling them that their teacher was bathing at midnight.

It is such a great idea. I really loved this bathroom, and the tub with the control panel was the best part! I would like to tell you more about the tub dimensions but unfortunately I don't live in this apartment anymore so I cant take any measurements. What I can tell you is that the tub was very spacious. I was definitely able to submerge all the way to the shoulders. The tub does over flow but it is not a problem if it does because the entire shower area is meant to get wet so if the tub happens to overflow then the water simply drains. Im sorry to hear about your condition. I don't have any but even for me this tub has been a major source of joy in my life. I think any sort of pain could definitely be relieved if you took a bath regularly in this kind of tub. As for your situation, maybe a clawfoot tub would be best? I hear really good things about this type of tub. The only problem would be the height. I didn't know tubs like this existed in Japan, so Im sure there could be something good for you out there! Im from Arizona. Nice to hear from someone nearby to my home town :)
