​@@abhinandan2610 They are not exclusively illegal as accessory in a private vehicle as per the Motor Vehicle Act but There is another Law That Prohibits Modification of Your vehicle without RTO permission... Which is How Traffic police can target you for the carrier. But If you have the permit from RTO or you had added the accessory from the showroom before passing of the vehicle from RTO you need not worry about it.
