100% agree. I hated the arena in particular as a kid, always thought it was hard. Plus you don’t have any native species like Naboo or Kashyyyk making this a boring jungle map.

@@MattPappfor me, its not really about the difficulty. Unlike when i was a kid, i dont consider the original bf games to be difficult at all. I think its the map design or the bland colour scheme especially in the originals its a little bit better in the reboots

I loved it in the reboot. Just can't get enough of jungles in games. It was really fun to play stealth on it, since players never really paid attention to something hiding in the foliage for some reason. Maybe y'all were one of those people

I kind of wish they would’ve incorporated more Sith elements into Yavin, it would make the planet more enjoyable to play at. Naga Sadow, Freedon Naad, and Exar Kun all dwelled on Yavin 4 for some time, leaving their impression both with statues and tombs as well in the Force via Sith Spirits.

If only we got the beta map for OG Battlefront 2, but considering how iconic it is like with Endor, Naboo, and Hoth, I can see why they kept it. And Yavin 4 Arena was such a great map that I'm glad it was brought back into classic Battlefront 2 where we can play as Anakin and Ventress on it like in the Clone Wars microseries. If only we got that cool map in the reboot for some of the smaller modes like Blast and Heroes vs. Villains.

I have another fact for the original versions of Yavin 4. When you look up and see the Yavin gas giant it’s actually a picture of Venus that they changed to an orange-red color.

In the newer BF2, above the central command point during the initial phase, the room has a wall you can walk straight through. If you are facing the imperial spawn, it’s in the close right corner. My friends and I used to all hide in there during heroes vs villains and see how long it would take the enemy to find us.

I never enjoyed Yavin-4 Temple (BF2 version) that much and kinda preferred the more direct and smaller Arena one. After i tested the ported beta version of Yavin for BF2 as mod, i can confirm it looks a lot better than the temple one we got (at least for me), but i can understand that walking on such a big map would have been a lot tedious. Please do Naboo, that is amazing compared to the version we got.

ill never forget the first ever time playing battlefront, on ps2 when you bought the official magazine you got a demo disk and battlefront was on it, you played a level on endor and i had the most fun man using the speederbikes and constantly restarting the demo once the match was over it was just soo cool to me as i loved star wars and there was no other great star wars game out at the time and i couldnt wait to get it once it came out 🥹 good times man, that same magazine came with stickers which i still have and one says ‘i have a ps3 but i hardly play it these days’ 🥹🥹
