Marriage has been one of my greatest teachers, and the lessons I’ve learned have reshaped how I coach. Today, I’m sharing seven powerful insights that my relationship taught me about creating an extraordinary coaching practice.
Taking Risks - 00:13
When I proposed to Monique after just 10 days, it was a huge leap of faith. As a coach, I see the importance of encouraging clients to take bold steps, even when the timing isn’t perfect.
The Power of Longevity - 01:25
My wife and I have been together for 18 years. In both coaching and life, success is about sticking with it, even when things get tough.
Getting Help - 02:33
Marriage taught me to accept support, and I’ve realized that every coach and client needs a strong support system to reach their full potential.
Shared Values - 03:20
Humor and adventure keep our relationship strong. Having clear values in your business can ground you and help you build a team with the same alignment.
Creating Rituals-04:11
Our family shares daily highlights around the dinner table, a small ritual that makes a big difference. In business, I build similar rituals with my team to keep us connected.
Honesty and Vulnerability-05:19
Monique and I are always truthful with each other, even when it’s uncomfortable. In coaching, honesty is a must for true client transformation.
The Power of Space-06:29
Taking time apart lets Monique and me reconnect with ourselves. In coaching, giving clients time to reflect between sessions is where real breakthroughs often happen.
These insights have shaped my coaching practice and my life. Remember, transformation comes from living the lessons we teach.
Let me know which of these resonates most with you, and don’t forget to like and subscribe for more insights.
