I have never considered myself attractive. One of my parents gave me really good hair - and neither had blue eyes but I do. That's all girls in high school ever commented on - the hair and eyes. Some days I think I look good compared to others, but I have never considered myself good looking. It always surprises me if a young lady or attractive woman thinks I am also attractive.

Folks often say I have an attractive personality but since I didn't grow up normally and around people, I don't know how to really respond and such. Let alone hold a nornal relationship together. Hell I just found this channel and these videos and they're helping me understand my ex bf more (it's a loooong story, long story short they went through something traumatic and want a break but don't want to lose contact cause they feel they can't function properly in a relationship anymore) and I've been trying to understand him more so I can help. It's like he's detached and disassociating and a lot of your videos tackle this topic and help me understand more what he's going through and what he needs a friend to do for him. I mostly struggle with this stuff cause I was homeschooled as a kid and never had any friends so I don't have a lot of social norms. And I tend to put others ahead of me. Not only cause of fear of losing them though. Even random people I help as much as I can. Hell those fears have been getting better with loved ones but I still worry so I always go overboard

It's not a matter of him being right or me being right. It's a matter of me going meta and realizing that what this whole debate is about is about him defending his own personal biases his ego and me defending my personal biases and my ego. And all that's happening here is we're just clashing our biases together without any kind of higher awareness and that's like a light bulb going up. This is a earth-shattering revelation when you realize this then you go meta on the whole debate and you realize ah i see this is not going to be resolved at the level of defeating his ideas or him defeating my ideas and it doesn't matter who wins this debate because this is all just an ego game. And then i can look inside of myself and i can realize oh yeah i can actually use mindfulness to penetrate into my own body become aware of my ego at work inside of me generating this ideology and then defending it and being closed-minded about it and refusing to look at the situation from a higher perspective. I can actually feel my body getting hotter. I can feel myself getting angry or defensive when he's making a good point. I can also start to notice the various manipulative tricks that his ego is using against me in this debate and then i can notice myself using those tricks against him and i can notice the double standards that i have and i can notice my own biases and i can notice his biases and i can notice the fact that the only reason i'm arguing with him is because i have a certain survival agenda that i'm trying to defend with my ego and i can notice that he's doing the same thing and when all of that is noticed the entire game of this debate collapses. That would be going meta. Can you see how powerful that is can you see how liberating that is. You see this is the kind of higher dimensional move that needs to be done to solve this particular problem.

When it comes to work it's because I'm the only one in my department, since it's normally way later in the day, though I can do it by myself at times I can't and so I sometimes gets helped. Outside of work? No. 2: You're good at expressing yourself. Answer: Yes but also no. I'm open and honest but also quiet and keep to myself mainly. 3: You have wholesome conversations with people. Answer: Sometimes, maybe. 4: You don't want attention. Answer: That I don't. I don't really get any anyways so it works out for me. 5: You often catch people staring at you. Answer: Yes but I've been told many times that I look scary. So I don't think it's because I'm attractive. 6: People open up to you easily. Answer: That's one's iffy.
