Hey Neil. Very informative vid as always. Just regarding the pop-ups. You mentioned that it gives high conversion rate. My take on that is probably because many visitors of the website might be not so tech-savvy and they tend to subscribe in order to get rid of it? But as people get more knowledgeable about it, then they might easily get turned off to the website as there is a distruction (pop-up) along their way? Thanks

I don’t mind exit pop ups or even timed ones. But, I hate the instantl pop up that opens when u visit a new website for the first time. How would you know that you would want to subscribe to the site if you haven’t even had a chance to see anything on the site because of the instant pop up? Do these instant pop ups convert well? I can’t understand why anyone would subscribe to a site if they haven’t even had a chance to read any of the sites content because of the “instant pop up” Anyway, thanks for all the excellent tips Neil. Great tips, thank you. I don't like exit pop ups, but I know they've sometimes worked on me, so what can I say? Nobody likes them, but they work. Facebook definitely give more reach when you post fewer links. I suspect the same with Twitter.

It always depends on the actual content you are sharing. If it is amazing then you will potentially get backlinks. You won't get backlinks just for sharing any random piece of content. It needs to provide value.

All those pop ups are so annoying, I go to a site to see the benefits of a fruit and before reading the first line a huge pop up asking for my email or something that just spoils it for me, they didn't even give me a chance to get into the site hence making pop ups look scammy especially when they hide the X to close out..I would use no pop ups and make my content of high value.. pop ups remind me of free apps or low grade sites that need the ads etc and so I think a professional site can look dodge with pop up unless you are Neil Patel then i would tolerate them 😄
