Look how beautiful the snow is. I know it's a headache to get it all cleared and drive in but it's just so pretty. I had so much fun playing in it as a child and always made Christmas just magical. Haven't had a white Christmas in a few years now and I live in New York. It's been all around us. It's all I'm asking Santa for this year.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas......I'm pretty old, but I remember snowy Thanksgivings, and a snowy EASTER so....usual rules; same as always. Stay home, keep warm, make soup and crochet. My daughter will be out IN IT sledding and cavorting with her dog. Finished putting in spring bulbs just in time.

Scientists say that warming in the Arctic due to climate change (global warming) increases the likelihood that frigid, polar air can move south. The overall warming causes the weather changes, even in winter. Does that clear it up for you?

If you’re from a state that doesn’t usually get snow annually- pay attention

These northeastern towns used to be used to the snow effect -- and global warming turned everything topsy turvy. Ski resorts had to adapt -- those who adapted early, are able to survive. But snow is good, not just for water runoff from mountains, but for resort businesses. Regrettably, because of global warming, snow is good, and then the too warm for snow to stay around comes, so there is no consistency.

Well, for once it sounds like this actually IS largely lake effect snow, which only occurs immediately adjacent to the water; usually the media calls anything downwind of the lakes “lake effect” when it’s really just a moisture fetch. Like Syracuse.
@justmejenny79869 күн бұрын
Lake effect does happen in Syracuse. Syracuse is surrounded by lakes.
