In regards to clean code, His approach and mine are different. Every day before I did the game development, I will do one-hour code practice. Go into OOP structures, Amazon interview questions, algorithm and anything that I don't know and challenge yourself. It gives confidence to my game code.

Great video! I think one of the things that helped me the most (and I’m still very much learning) was following some tutorials on fairly simple games and then trying to add a list of features that’s I feel would make the game different enough to warrant a play. Not every game has to, or even should, reinvent the wheel. I often tell my wife that pretty much every game possible is already made and with enough searching you can find guides or code for any major feature you want. It’s the one or two little tweaks to the gameplay loop that makes the game. People like turn based RPGs, people like rts games, people like tower defense. Why create something brand new every single time when those frameworks have worked for decades? You can make a very simple version of whatever genre you are lookin to make and be surprised how unique it feels to you just by adding a couple of small mechanics and polishing them and then you aren’t rolling the dice with a totally untested market (if you can even get something that unique running). Ps: absolutely love hyper knights. I’d love to see how that was made. It’s very similar to a game idea I had that I could never quite get right

Right now i am doing really well on the part of coding learning it and writing clean code and it is good enough that whenever i get back to months old code and i have no idea still i will look at code and know what is what and start fixing it or improving it but the hard part is i am not getting any ideas about any game like forget about having a game idea with big scope or small scope i am not getting any ideas at all it feels like i am not creative and I realised specifically after one of my online friend who asked me to teach him unity so i suggested him unity learn and even in the basic task like roll a ball he made it really good by adding glow to objects and making ball bigger as it collects boxes and I am not talking about the code here that part is pretty easy but the idea he got the creativity he showed by making this in what he has I was just totally confused like why I never done even something close to that

Depends a lot on the employer, some want to see a diploma but most just want to see that you have knowledge so a good portfolio is always great.

Working with others can be an excellent or a terrible experience. It really depends on how well you work with each other and how your skills complete one another. You can give it a try and make a small 1 month game with someone, if it goes well then expand the scope for the next game and so on.

I have such a problem. I began to create his 2D android game in the editor Unity 5.6.7, 32 bit version. And after I made the game, it's time to compile it in apk. But since Unity below the fifth version does not support ARM64, for publishing 64-bit applications in the Play store. I had to transfer my project to the computer of a friend who has the latest version of Unity. Compiling my game went without any problems, but compared to compiling my game on my computer via mono2x (32-bit version of the game) and compiling it on my friend’s computer through IL2CPP + ARM64 (64-bit version of the game). In the first case, the game works perfectly, the picture is smooth, and in the second the game does not lag much, and it is not very comfortable to play. What could be the problem?

on one hand I want to go down this path, on the other hand I have Original Stories that i've started publishing that have miminal attention. *groans in obsuritiy* hopefully your marketing advice can also apply to stories.

Books are in many ways similar to games so yeah a lot of it probably applies. You also have lots of open platforms where you can sell and tons of competition where you need to stand out. I've read some articles on Gamasutra that researched how romance niche novel writers make a living and it's very similar. Best of luck!

If it takes two years to make a large scale game, how long do you think it would take to make a step by step series on it? At least three years. Nobody is going to make that for you

Hey I kinda meant to do a small 1 week game but it ended up being a simple, largish 3 week game (although ~5 of those days were no work on the game due to christmas)! Should I go back to step 1 and make more simple prototypes or move on to step 4?

Depends on your level of confidence. Did that game take longer because you were feeling great with the progress and just added more and more features? Or did it take longer because it was more difficult then you expected? Depending on the answer you might be ready to do something more complex or keep learning the basics.
