I'm using different criteria for each group of these stocks to buy and hold forever. For the safety stocks, I'm finding the industries with upward trends and then the companies within each with a competitive advantage. Then I use valuation to find the best stocks to buy now.

Currently working overseas but will return to my home country in the near future. I'm a landlord. I invested in property at the age of 22. Value has soared and renting out. Will live on the rental income I receive and live with my aging parents for the time being. At 60 I can withdrawal from my superannuation (401(k)). Have savings and eligible for the Australian pension at 63. In the future I may downsize, sell the property and buy cheaper property and add the left over money from the sale to savings. Lots of options for me. The way I see it if you have $1m at some point, that’d be enough to create a portfolio that would pay you between 50k-70k in dividend income...

I have a 3 fund portfolio consisting of 33% S&P, 33% Total stock, and 33% international. I feel a need to focus on complete growth so I went 100% stocks, but does the SP500 and TSM overlap too much to make sense holding both? However I’ve been in the red for a month now. I bought Tesla early 2013 at 35 pre all their splits 3500 shares. Sold to buy a house tripled my money. Early 2021 those shares would have been worth 21 million. Oh the pain. 130k to 21 million. With teslas fall last year plus it’s still like 11 million it would be worth. Buy and hold!

I also like VALE. They are the largest iron ore producer in the world. They also produce a lot of nickel, copper and many other industrial and some precious metals. They have made a deal with Tesla to provide nickel for the batteries. They also pay a nice dividend. Nice video, by the way. New sub here.

Teledoc relies on the knowledge and compliance of the patient. There is value in the face-to-face interaction, that virtual care cannot capture. There needs to be a well designed study to measure patient outcomes- to give it the credibility for stock growth. Face to face interaction creates the necessary level of trust.

Well as a healthcare provider, telamed is the future. I'm sure it will get better as time goes by. For example, all of our initial stroke eval. Are done by a neurologist in a remote location.

Citi is so over leveraged and insanely debt ridden I wouldn’t touch this long term at all. Maybe as a short term swing trade soon but holding for 30 years is asking for trouble. Meta hasn’t proven anything on how they’ll increase ad revenue at all and Zuck doesn’t have a clue what to do. Oculus Labs is a massive drain that hasn’t panned out yet and is bleeding money left and right for them.

Citi CET1 capital ratio is just 12.2%...not sure what you're looking at to say it's overleveraged and debt-ridden. Banks report their deposits as liabilities but it's their lending power. Can't really use traditional measures of debt for banks. As for META, ad revenue is down 30% across the board for social sites and streaming. When the economy recovers, it will be an automatic bump in revenue without the company having to do anything differently.

Laugh all you can. I am the person who bought fb (meta) pre ipo at 44$ and held on it until today. We had to buy a Lot of shares in that transaction. In the due course, I have sold many covered calls at low delta to be paid as dividend.

i never believe in a single stock that is to hold forever, even if you are talking about mega company like Google or Apple, none of them are guaranteed to be forever good investment, if you want to hold 1, and 1 only instrument that is forever, that would be simply the Index Fund.
