7 strand flat braid- Headhunter's look

In this tutorial I demonstrate a simple 7 stranded braid with a rather unique look. It was shown to me by Domenico Ringo Caselli.
Such a braid can be made into a bracelet, belt or a loop on a whip.

Use 3 strands on a wide buckle tide with a simple overhand knot or your preferred method of connection. 2 double length strands in between the three strands folded in half, again your choice of connection. Then follow instructions, 4 left, 3 right. Conversely, you can do 3 & 3 with traditional over 2 under 2 over 2 weave pattern to get the headhunters knot.

Hi Marco I like the pattern. I can find lots of braids like this, but none show how to start and finish it into a bracelet. It would be a gold if you could make some tutorials on how to do that. Buckles or loop and knot

For a headhunters knot like Mark shows in other videos you can start with 3 strands attached by your favorite method, with an additional strand secured by each knot on the buckle, for a total of 6. From there you simply follow his interweave pattern of under 2 over 2 under 2 for the headhunters weave. Too attach to other buckle end, simply tie off each of 3 to the buckle then slip in the remaining 3 strands into the others as you started. I recommend using 6, 14 inch strands to give plenty of room for any size wrist up to ~7~ inches.

Hi Mark, Love the look of this Braid. Your video doesn't show how to start your braid. How would I attach cording to metal ring. I want to make a freind a set of Horse reins. I don't know how to calculate what the length of each cord would be to achieve a 7' finished length. I really hope you can help me with the measurements. Thanks so much
