Emz S. in most careers you can cover any tattoo with long sleeves and pants. As a rule of thumb we use in the tattoo industry for people worried about that. Steer clear of hands, neck, or face.

When I saw the title I had some sort of apprehension regarding how much thoughts* you put in your tattoos given that they were made in such a short period of time but the meanings are great and the tattoos all look amazing! *Disclaimer: you or anyone else puts as much thoughts in their tattoos as they want and not putting any as even fine as long as you are. My point is: you did a lot of thinking in a short amount of time :)

when you chose your tattoo shop did you go there because the artist did the style you like or did you just go there because it was close by? I really want a tattoo but I haven't really done a lot of research on artists near me. I don't know if I should just go to where I go for all my piercings. But your tattoos are goals💖

kirakkat Look at different shops and artists' work. Before getting my first tattoo I had made an appointment at a near by shop because it was walking distance and at the time I didn't drive. Luckily I had to cancel the appointment and did more research and found an amazing artist who brings my ideas to reality. Hope that helps.

Every artist has a different style, I wanted Japanese style so I went to someone who did that sort of style. You don't want to ask an artist to do something that isn't their style, they won't enjoy it and they won't do it very well. Just check their IG and facebook of customers photos and if they look good, then go!

kirakkat I had done research on different tattoo shops in my city and one place also did piercings so I had gone there alot for piercings so I knew how the shop was, so when I went in for my tattoo I really wasn't nervous at all! try finding a shop that uploads photos from their artists all the time so you can get a feel for how they do things. you definitely want a shop where the artists style is your favourite kind (traditional, realistic, watercolour etc)
