Do you have a video yet on riding different horses. Riding one horse with a huge canter vs a horse who is not a big mover? I’m looking for how to adjust to riding different types of horses.

Great tips! I am much more patient now in my late 40s than I was in my 20s. It really does help. I'd like to add one tip. Have fun! I think we get so focused on doing things perfectly we forget to have fun.

Lol, a rectangle not a box! I absolutely love that staement!! I usually get the best forward out of my green mustang out in our ginormous hayfield. It allows her to have fun and I get to sneak in training!

Wow, I just discovered this channel and it is sooooo cool. My favorite sport (dressage) being hosted by a guy who reminds me of my favorite comedian (Steve Martin). It doesn't get any better than this. Keep making those videos, bro'.

Great tips, Joseph! It is always so important to include all aspects because if you do this, it makes for a balanced viewpoint and experience.

Love your videos they are so uplifting & inspiring as always. Can you perhaps do a video on when you feel a horse is physically & mentally ready for climbing to the next level of training? For example when/how you personally determine when to show 1st, 2cnd, 3rd or4th level. Or when do you feel your horse is ready to start to play with leg yield, shoulder in, halfpass, or changes etc.

Hi Joseph, some of my riding friends and I would love to hear and see a Vlog about young horses being ridden behind the vertical. Is it a rider issue or a strength issue for the horse? Or both?? How does one correct this In both situations? Thank you so much!

Great video Joseph! Really great tips. I was wondering if you could do a video on why as dressage riders, we use tools like spurs, whips and the double bridle?

Some of my follow riders advised me that self-ride may not be as beneficial because I may not know whether I am doing the right things. So best to always do train with the instructors. I would like to lease a horse from the school soon. And my instructor said I can do self-ride. It is very expensive to book many lessons. What do you think?

I think a mixture is good depending on the situation. but it is sometimes good to ride alone and sort things out... good luck

When mimicking other riders, consider the possibility that what they are doing might not suit your horse.
