I’m 84 - was a single parent of two boys, regimented beyond belief just to get thru the days without going crazy - often working 2 jobs plus the cooking, cleaning, washing, etc when I finally was home. The freedom to NOT have to plan every minute is still wonderful after nearly 20 years of retirement. Your plan is a good one and I’m sure helps a lot people but please leave some of us to enjoy our slothful, enjoyable days and weeks. Just saying NO GUILT to all of you that do not enjoy regimentation. Have a happy rest of your life. 💞💞

Thank you for sharing your story, it's truly inspiring! You've earned every moment of relaxation and freedom you're currently enjoying. Retirement should indeed be a time to relish, free from guilt or pressure. My approach is merely a guide, and I wholeheartedly believe that everyone should embrace the rhythm that suits them best. After all, we all have our unique paths to happiness. Keep enjoying your well-deserved restful days and continue to inspire us with your wisdom. Cheers to more guilt-free, joyful moments in life! 💖💖

I really appreciate this video. I retired at 55 and now I’m feeling depressed alone and isolated in a new town. I do like living alone. But I do want friends

First off, kudos to you for reaching out and sharing your feelings. It's natural to feel a bit isolated when you're in a new town away from familiar faces. But remember, every journey begins with a single step, and you've already taken it by acknowledging your feelings. Friendships don't happen overnight. Be patient with yourself and give others the chance to get to know the wonderful person you are. 🥰

A good routine is necessary, healthy foods and not over eating. Accepting yourself and your age and being ok with not being the way you were 20 years ago. You can still do things that you used to do and enjoyed just have to modify them. I always loved weight training but the joints are older so no more excessively heavy weights not more repetition and lighter weights and it still feels great after. Can’t ride a dirt bike anymore but find it enjoyable to ride my zero turn mower 😂 and the outdoors. Eating when hungry not just breakfast lunch or dinner, sometimes just dinner . Definitely maintaining your body weight. Small goals is a big yes.

Your comment is music to my ears! I couldn't agree more. 🎉 Establishing a good routine, embracing healthy eating habits, and accepting ourselves as we age are indeed essential elements of a satisfying retirement life. It's all about adapting to our changing bodies and finding new ways to enjoy the things we love! 💪

I'm disabled due to autoimmune. I used to be an RN and in the final stage of my career was a case manager and certified in motivational interviewing. You are very good with your counseling. I already practice much of what you suggest but you mentioned a few things I haven't thought of. I've always been good at pushing myself but with autoimmune fatigue is my constant companion it seems. I've tried many things to correct it and manage it. I will not give up. Thank you for you.

First off, hats off to you for your incredible spirit and resilience. As a former RN and case manager, you've spent your career caring for others, and your kind words about my counseling mean so much. Living with an autoimmune condition can indeed be challenging, and managing fatigue is a significant part of that journey. But remember, every small step you take towards managing your health is a victory. You're already doing a fantastic job by practicing self-care methods and continuously seeking ways to manage your condition better. I admire your determination to never give up, despite the hurdles. And it's okay to have days where you feel less energetic. On those days, listen to your body and give it the rest it needs. Btw have you tried gentle exercises like tai chi or yoga? Thank you for being you 🌟

9:35 #4 Be prepared ..great advice. I now lay out all ingredients as I cook fave recipes. It removes the drudgery of cooking,as I’m 70+ and lack the energy & focus to cook as often as I used to.

Thank you so much for your kind words! Your message brought a smile to my face, and I'm thrilled to hear that you're enjoying the videos. 😊 How wonderful that your daughter is your health and fitness inspiration! It's beautiful when our children teach us and motivate us in unexpected ways. The bond you two share, not just as parent and child but also as gym buddies, is truly special. ❤️

I enjoyed your video and found it very informational. I have also subscribed. One big suggestion, your music competes with your presentation. It was very hard to concentrate what you were saying with the music in the background. Look forward to more videos. Thank you!

Firstly, a big thank you for subscribing and taking the time to provide us with your valuable feedback. We are thrilled to hear that you found our video informational - that's exactly what we aim for! We completely understand your concern about the background music. Our intention was to add a bit of rhythm to our presentation, but we certainly don't want it to become a distraction. Your point is well taken, and we'll definitely lower the volume in our future videos to make sure our message comes across loud and clear. Keep watching and stay tuned for more videos!

What to do when your life never really started and you dont have much to look back on. And who is going to want to be with someone so boring ? And carrying the baggage of decades of trauma induced depression and anxiety. Not to he confused with This new breed of ultra sensitive who are claiming victim every 5 seconds and giving us other people whose childhoods happened in the 60 amd 70's a bad name.
@CynMeyerSecondWindMovement

First off, thank you for sharing such a personal reflection with us. It takes courage to open up about feeling as though life hasn't started or dealing with long-term challenges. Know that it's never too late to begin anew or to redefine what happiness and fulfillment mean to you, regardless of past experiences. Every individual's life story includes chapters of struggle, but these don't define our entire narrative. It's about turning the page and starting a new chapter, one where you can find joy, purpose, and connection on your terms. Remember, boredom isn't a trait; it's a state that we have the power to change. Exploring new interests, rekindling old passions, or even volunteering can open up avenues to meet like-minded individuals who appreciate you for who you are, including the depth your experiences bring. Regarding the weight of past trauma, seeking support through therapy or support groups can be incredibly healing. It's not about comparing sufferings or dismissing the pain of others but about finding a path to healing that respects your unique experiences and resilience. In terms of finding someone to share your life with, genuine connections are built on mutual respect, understanding, and acceptance, not just shared histories or the absence of struggles. Someone who values depth, resilience, and the strength it takes to face life's challenges would see the incredible worth in being with someone like you. Your life has started, and every day holds the potential for new stories, connections, and discoveries. The best days aren't behind you; they're the ones you have yet to create. Please reach out if you need to talk ❤️

Start by venturing outside: greet strangers as you stroll, don’t stop to chat; just bask in the reciprocal greeting and know u helped make their day. Also attend a free library or bookstore talk and commit to say hello to just 2 ppl.
