@@SeanDivine this is what I want to achieve. yes, I am getting better in EQuing elements, instruments in my track following a lot of your videos but that separation you have on your tracks where I feel everything is banging in their own space without affecting others is where I am not yet.

When it comes to transient shaping with waves plugins I've found the" Trans X multi stereo" plugin to be amazing! The preset"more punch" will really make kick drum samples knock and cut through pretty substantial if anyone would like another alternative to getting drums to knock more! Good tips brother! Love how this record came out

dopesnare haven’t tried it specifically in studio one - as long as you’re using the individual drum track (kick), I would think audio to midi should work fine!

Hi Sean! Amazing tips! Could you clarify what is the difference between using the compression and limiter (brickwall) with great sounding samples in drum-channel in the mixer ? I think limiter "tames the dynamics" like the compressor do. However, it seems that limiter doesn't affect the great-sounding drum sample as much as the compressor do for some reason.

Beat is so fire man ! Sean i have a Question: What do you think about Drum Pitching ? Do you Make your Kick in the Key of the Song ? Maybe other Elements ? or do you Never Change Pitch of Drums and just Search for what sounds right ?
@SeanDivine
@SeanDivine 4 жыл бұрын
thanks man! I do adjust the pitch of drums, although not every time. Sometimes the drum sounds just feels right, even if the pitch isn't perfectly in line with the key of the song :) if it sounds or feels off to you then I would definitely pitch it accordingly!
