Hi i watched your some video experiment about meat tenderizer. Can you make a video of milk vs papaya. Milk is different than yogurt. I think milk is way more effective to tenderize meat than yogurt. Milk vs papaya tenderness and taste. Thank you very much 😊

Great video, Ninja! This is a topic that isn't covered often and you offered some great tips. The Meater is a good tool that I use, too. Only problem is the visual appearance of the hole but it's a trade off to getting perfect temps. I don't know if Mrs. Ninja liked the dry aged flavor, LOL! It takes a little getting used to but is wonderful once you learn to appreciate it.

Can you dry age after you freeze a steak
@SaltyTales3 жыл бұрын
Most of the meat you get in the supermarket has been frozen, so the answer is yes, as long as you thaw it before setting it in the dry age steation

Tremendous steaks Ninja you like the chuck eyes? There's only 1-2 per cow and its cheaper then the ribeye and the same tenderness and better flavor my opinion ribeye 19.99 plus chuck eyes like 12 or 13 no question a bargain with inflation !

Hey Ninja, great video. Have you done a side by side comparison - direct sear vs reverse sear and or sous vide - to determine which gives the juiciest result? I have done both reverse sear and sous vide and find the sous vide produces the juicier of the two steaks but the reverse sear has better carmelized fat but you have to be careful with the reverse sear SEAR so that you don't overcook the meat. Also the reverse sear was a drier steak. I am going to try your method tonight on its own but I am curious about the results. Won't have a control steak to compare to but will let you know how it comes out.
@kiphome12 жыл бұрын
I tried your Direct sear in direct heat method last night and the result was a tender juicy dry aged steak as promised! It was really good. In case anyone reads this, i used a steak that was about 1.5 Inches thick and seared it for 1 minute on each side in a cast iron pan with avacado oil. I was curious how much heat the cast iron adds to the steak and 1 minute on each side brought the internal temperature up from 62 to 102(!!). Needless to say, it didn't take a lot of time on the grill to bring the internal temp up to 128. I would note for for anyone who uses the reverse sear method - the cast iron sear adds a lot of residual temperature to your cook so be very careful not to over do your steaks and start at a much lower internal temperature than you may think before you sear. Unless you like a well done steak that is. Thanks for the tip Ninja, this was a good one!

Sir, there are 2 ways to salt steak: 1) Salt it the day before 2) Salt it on the plate Never salt a steak 30 minutes before cooking. Never salt a steak right before cooking. If you like the taste of steak... #2 is the way.
