Story 6 about the supposed lake of dead animals that seemingly vanished, is for me the most terrifying. It's obvious, if true, that there was some kind of corporate or government entity responsible. Despite if the story is true or not, the fact remains that mass corruption runs rampant at the highest levels of power. If you don't agree, then obviously it would be a waste of time trying to convince you otherwise. All I know is that those who hold all the money are the ones who control the world, and you don't become as wealthy as they are by being charitable and selfless. It's quite the contrary. The addiction to money, in my opinion, is far more damaging and dangerous than all the substance addictions combined, and will inevitably be humanity's undoing.

Omg. Do not give up or put ur life on hold for another. If it’s meant to be, it will survive anything. Even distance. If you aren’t the best version of yourself, you’ll never make anyone else, or yourself, happy.

In the 80's I often spent my winters, as the winter caretaker of a remote hunting lodge on the north sideof the Alaska range, in the shadows of McKinley. There were no roads, summer or winter. Fly in only. It was just me, a woman in her teens at the start, to early 20s and her 2 dogs. What I got from it was the knowledge that I was capable of dealing with anything that came my way without anyone to help me or do it for me. I also learned I don't need others to keep me entertained. I am happy and content with my own company. It has given me a strong core to build the rest of my life from. It is why this pandemic, quarenteen, and mayhem isn't making me a stir crazy mess. Take this time separated to look inside yourself. Assess the things that you like and dislike about yourself and use it to make changes that will bring you where you want to be.

The disappearance of a poisoned lake could have something to do with mining. Arsenic is used to refine gold in some mining operations and sometimes their containment pools leak into natural water sources. The friend who analyzed the sample may have had a financial or other reason not to report this to the EPA. If it was an illegal or unscrupulous mine…the reason could have been life or death for the redditor and the friend. The fines for poisoning the water would have amounted to much more than the mine’s profits.

@Veladus - That has been studied many times and there are no discrepancies in sentencing between races. Generally, when you see someone online using an example of something like ‘this black person received 10 years for this crime and this white person only received 2 years for the same crime’, they’re ignoring that the person that got 10 had 5 prior felony convictions while the person that got 2 had none.

I live in the middle of nowhere. I LOVE the privacy , however we recently have had to install cameras because people have been setting up tents and attempting to live in our woods . They are included on my property ,and i wouldn't mind if they were staying far in the back. Ppl fall on hard times. BUT it became a problem when they decided to cross the line and start stealing and leaving needles and baggies all over the place. They dropped this stuff on my patio stealing planters . Fr planters for plants, wtf steals that? And runs off , or run stumbles off to the woods , dropping their nasty needles. Luckily , I live in a stand your ground state should they decide to break INTO my home. The sheriffs do nothing but tell them to leave. They came back. So cameras are up.
@archangel56272 жыл бұрын
I completely agree with you. If those people set up camp in the far end of your property, kept the area clean and also kept to themselves without disturbing you, your family, and or property, then it wouldn’t be a big deal. But like always, people have zero respect for the next person especially when they’re squatting on your land, and so I don’t blame you for putting up cameras and tightening up your security. If it was me, and they had started to steal and leave their nasty needles and whatever else on my property, I would grab my shotgun and forcefully tell them to leave permanently. If the local sheriff and local law enforcement don’t want to do anything than I’d be more than happy to remove them from my land. Im sorry if I’m ranting a bit, it just burns me up when people push their luck, over stay their welcome, and just act downright completely disrespectful. I hope you haven’t had anymore problems with these squatting junkies and that you, your family, and property has remained safe. Hopefully you got rid of them. @@anarocha6725 guessing the source of most of these stories is reddit. Although I try and not advertise for streaming platforms netflix has a documentary "The Devil we know" that covers Dupont's runoff scandal. Also Dark Waters with Mark Ruffalo is closest to tell story of attorney that took upon them.

The second he said he was hitchhiking in southern Missouri my heart dropped 🤣 that's like meth capital of the country. I live in northwest Arkansas and frequently go to Missouri for the lower sales tax. There's so many sketchy people.

I gave some old man the finger for running a stop sign when I was biking as a teen and he stopped dead and started yelling and screaming at me and I was peddling so fast to get away and realized I wasn’t near any houses and that it was really dumb of me to piss some crazy old man off while alone on middle of know where type road and this was before cell phones too

As someone who lives in the upper midwest like in story 6, it couldve been Hemorrhagic Disease in the deer; its a disease caused by certain biting flies, and it causes deer to get thirsty and drink a lot of water so a lot of dead deer are found in and around ponds and lakes. Not sure about if they fill them in or not, but we have two retention ponds behnd us and we have to call the wildlife foundation to get them to remove the dead deer around the ponds when they get the disease every few years. Hope that clears up some of the spookiness!

Giving that lad a beating was “ to teach him a lesson” what lesson? To quit acting like “an irritating little brother“ ? I’m just a bit confused why he told his story because just when it appears to be remorseful he excuses himself or congratulates himself for “not kicking the lad in the head”. Drugs may have clouded his memory but they’re not to blame for conspiring and then the travelling to the destination before kicking a lad to his death, laughing and leaving him to die.. “ I’ve taken worse beatings” clearly not.

That story about the watch stolen in Mexico; its just a watch, his crying mom ought to have felt fortunate it was him calling about the lost watch rather than the hospital about an injured or dead son. 1st world problems man. Only in the 1st world is it an expectation that heirlooms will always stay in the family.

The last story… they meant to kill you. They most likely thought you were dead when they left you there. Instead they failed thank god. That’s why it is confusing.
