Fur is your best friend when facing a bountiful body of scratchy chest hair.
The sound that chest hair can make when it rubs against a shirt can create a horrible high frequency scratching noise. By applying soft fur between a shirt and chest hair this abrasive high frequency sound can be softened to a much more manageable lower frequency sound.
To achieve this we use a small cutting of white URSA Furtangle (ursastraps.com/product/furtan...) apply double sided sticky tape to the back and stick it just below the LMC Sound V-Clip on this COS11 rig.
Furtangles are made from the same extremely soft fur as our URSA Fur Circles (ursastraps.com/product/fur-ci...) - the fur is really soft, quiet and compacts when pressed so as to not leave a lump under clothing.
Later in the video Simon demonstrates how you can stick an URSA Plush Circle (ursastraps.com/product/plush-...) over the end of the V-Clip to create light wind protection. To do this Simon cuts a circle out of the center of an URSA Sticky Circle (ursastraps.com/product/sticky...) and then sticks this to a Plush Circle which is then stuck around the top of the V-clip. It works pretty well but in another video we show how this could be improved further by using a COS Windjammer and a Soft Circle...
Other Sheets of Fur are available and are equally good at doing this job, we would also recommend the Bubblebee Industries "Piece a Fur" (www.bubblebeeindustries.com/…...) which comes in a large variety of colours.
