Over the past decade or so, some of video games best Easter eggs have referenced films, and I’ve made various videos covering them, but with each passing year, there are more movie related Easter eggs to find.
That’s why today we are going to take a look at seven really cool movie references in video games.

Also in house flipper, there is a house you can buy called the dealer house which is a direct reference to breaking bad and Walter whites house, there is even the crawl space where you can find all of Walter whited money, go check it out it’s a very cool refrence .

A nice detail in Hi-Fi Rush that I found is that one of the bosses called Zanzo in his introduction/cutscene is striking poses from anime JoJo's Bizzare Adventures

There’s also a Ghostface reference in the Hitman trilogy on the contract; The Author. With the outfit The Superfan which can be found in the sewer area when you spawn.

Don't know if anyone's mentioned it but the dance that Pennywise is doing is "Skibidi" made popular by the Russian band Little Big.

In Torchlight 2, there are 2 easter eggs that reference 2 different movies. The first one can be found early on and is located in the Temple Steppes area. You can find a lantern that takes you to Plunder Cove, where you can fight a boss named One-Eyed Willie on a pirate ship. A reference to The Goonies. The second reference is in another area called the Frosted Hills, there you can find another area called Slavers Stockade. In one of the cells, you can find a bottle of lotion (stay with me here). Further on I'm Slavers Stockade, you can find a bucket in which you place the lotion. You can then kill a skeleton which will drop a helmet referencing Buffalo Bill from The Silence of the Lambs.

Borderlands 3 has a reference to the movie psycho. It's in a side quest on the first planet you fly to after fixing the spaceship

Norman Bates' house from Psycho is in Mafia 2. Kind of like the Home Alone Easter Egg, only you can't enter it. The Ghostbusters firehouse is in Mafia 2 and in Sony's Spider-Man. The Titanic is in Mafia 2, but that's more of a real world reference. But it's cool anyway.

Having just finished GTA 5 for the first time,i realized that the game takes a lot of influence from Heat and understandably so; the mission Blitz Play is a loveletter to the movie's opening armored car heist, and if you choose the right mask and haircut, you can make Trevor resemble Waingro from the movie. Michael also already resemble's Robert De Niro's Neil McCauley from the suits alone, but the customization options make the resemblance even stronger.

A little possible easter egg or detail is in just shapes and beats. It also does the james bond intro for one of the main story levels( i forgot the level name, but i know its towards tbe end of the main story)

in rdr2 in chapter 3, when robbin a small house with sean, you can actually rob it yourself in chapter 2, and arthur will have a monologue telling sean he already was there, this is a easy way to get 2 double action revolvers in each chapter

One of my recent favorites, though it's less an easter egg and is obvious and not hidden, is what was recently added to Power Washer Simulator. Now you can power wash iconic locations from Final Fantasy 7's Midgar including the Shinra Building and the 7th Heaven bar.

Ik it's possible that you cover it but if it's worth a mention In gta online when doing the cayo perico heist Pavel ( the man who orchestrates the whole heist) will occasionally say he don't wanna alarm you but something very big is near by If you search around the area you will find nessie shooting or getting close will cause it to swim away

I'm not sure if you've already got this easter egg in a different video, but in Ghostbusters the videogame if you go to the recording machine (I think it's on the second floor) in the Ghostbusters HQ and listen to the recorded messages, you might hear a message from a Professor Jones enquiring about the Virgo painting ending the message by saying "it belongs in a museum" which is a clear easter egg to Indiana Jones

Transformers: War For Cybertron, Ironhide says this “Pog Na Weep, Bog Na Weep, Ni Ni Bomb”, which is a reference to the 1986 Transformers: The Movie

Hey not sure if you discussed this, but in death stranding there is a memory chip you can find that unlocks a new trike, it has a upgraded battery and defensive abilities and you can still carry cargo and it also has some secret voice lines that sam says when he rides it, you find it in the central region so you will need to be a bit of hunting for it but the reward is totally worth it

When I was 6 playing dead island and completing the game so many times I always saw the "guy with mask in the jungle" cool and that he has a chainsaw in his house and later I found out he was a movie character which made me like the Easter egg even more

Currently right now in OW2 there is a One Punch Man collab. It's not an Easter egg but Doomfist an antagonist in OW2 is dressed as the local super hero saitama as he will perform saitamas training. 100 push ups, 100 sit-ups, 100 squats, and run in a 10km run before coming back and sleeping just to do it all again the next day just like in the anime. It's a very nice detail as he will actually do all the sit ups, push ups and squats 100 times before moving on.

In diablo 3, you can possibly find a dungeon that has clickers and runners from the last of us series and I was cool when if first found it but I don't know if you can find it anymore but it was a really cool Easter egg for the diablo series

I don't know if you do mobile games Mr. eggcellent but dragon ball legends has a pretty neat detail. When you use the legends limited (teen) trunks special move on any character he'll do the hand sign movement and shoot the ki blast but if he does it on any freeza character he'll yell "freeza!! As a reference to when he yells "hey freeza" in the anime

The end of the Piccadilly mission in CoD MW might be a reference to a movie called The Hurt Locker. The part where there’s not enough time to defuse a bomb. (Attempt number…I don’t know….5 probably)

This isn't a movie reference but I found out in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, if you get your bullets down to either one or two bullets and you inspect your weapon. If there's two bullets, you'll see one bullet in the gun and one in the mag, and if you check with one bullet, there'd be one in the gun and nothing in the mag. Not sure why you'd inspect during that part but it's pretty cool.

(This is a spoiler warning that who haven't played Bang-On-Balls: Chronicles Demo on Xbox before) There is an easter egg in Bang-On-Balls: Chronicles Demo and I found TMNT Reference where you go down to the sewers (That's where TMNT lives) and you have to do some puzzles. Once you finally finish the puzzle, you can find three characters with Blue, Orange and Red mask that was stuck in the bubble that was too similar to Leonardo, Michelangelo and Raphael (But there is no Donatello). Once you help them to get back to their base, you can find a Rat character that looks like Splintered.
