Are you wasting your life away? A lot of us don’t recognize these “harmless” routines we may have fallen into, so we go about our lives as if nothing bad is happening. But these routines are lethal in our tendency to waste lives if left unchecked. Many of us often don’t realize what’s happening until it’s too late. In this video, we'll be discussing the signs you're wasting your life. If you relate to these signs and find that you may be wasting your life, it’s never too late to turn around, make a change, and live the best life you can!
If you're unsure what you can do about this because you're feeling empty and lost in life, we also have a video on the reasons why we may feel lonely here to help you understand more about yourself: kzbin.info/www/bejne/lZPcZqCcoKehn5Y

Thank you for the list and time stamps but I actually do not agree with this at all. Wasting your life isn’t in these above things. 1. You can over analyze things and come to revelations through them. 2. Working a job is important to help gain income and also the confidence to know you are working for your money. Also what if you actually love your job? Stops being work once you find a job you love. So throwing yourself into that kind of work would be fulfilling. 3. Fear of what? Drugs, prostitution, molestation, robbery, etc? Those are good things to be scared of and it will not deter your life from being lived to live cautiously. 4. This one is okay I guess. Everyone will be dissatisfied with their life at some point or another. But if it happens so often that you don’t ever feel satisfied unless you’re hooked up on some substance to numb the pain, then that’s when you should start thinking about what went wrong. 5. Dwelling on negativity might be terrible but it can also give some insight as to why you are feeling that way. If you think about it enough, you’ll find out why you are dwelling on it. Dwelling on the negative isn’t what’s wrong. Asking questions and being honest with yourself is what is needed to make it not be wrong. 6. Living in the present can be dangerous. Read emergence (manga) and you’ll see why. 7. Having fun isn’t the be all and end all. Remember to treat others with respect and fun can come later. If you always put yourself first, no one will want to be around you.

1. Yeah, I overanalyze 2. Nope 3. I actually don't fear death nor will I regret anything, but I do fear doing mistakes. 4. I'm very satisfied with my life. 5. I feel like I'm being positive all the time, but to others, they thought I'm being negative. It's more like a difference of what is positive or negative in my eyes and the eyes of others, so I really am confused about this. It's probably because of my morbid humour. 6. I will never regret anything in the past, but I will sometimes overanalyze things in the future. To the point where I don't move until I got plans for everything. 7. I always try to have fun. . Interesting, I still have hope...

Not necessarily. A lot people are not wasting their life. However in total of humanity a lot of people wasting their life. Simply because they always run in the same cycles. For example: sleep, go to work, eat some, get home watch tv/play games, go to sleep and so on, instead of doing what would truly fulfill them and make them happy. Watching TV all day or stick your eyes on your smartphone all day might seem fun to most people but only because they don't know anything better. If you just would take one day off and put aside the tv or smartphone and put it even in a box and just go and do something you never done before like hiking or riding a bike, doing something creative like making a chair or some mug or a painting or go fly to a random picked place or bungee jumping and such, you'll quick realize how much you actually wasted your live and how much you could had lived. Instead of trying to do new things we always run in the same cycles instead of trying to break them. Once someone sitting on the couch feeling the real adrenaline drill that life can give you start breathing life and that what you did before was nothing else but actually sleeping. Of cause not everyone has to do bungee jumping or just travel a random place. However everyone can find something that's just out of his usual cycle. Even a painter can be in a cycle. He might be so caught in the act of always painting that he is already suffering a lack of new and fresh ideas, just throwing new paintings out and feeling an inner void. The painter should do something different then to break his cycle to get out of the rut of a monotone life and start feeling life again.

This video describes me perfectly. Unfortunately my spouse and I are in a fairly bad situation lately, and seem to have no end in sight.... Seems every time we start to get our life in order, tragedy hits and knocks us down again. This last time has been one of the hardest times, as it has left us destitute... Even though I managed to secure a PT job, we just can't get ahead. To make matters worse, my spouse surfers from a terminal liver illness, as we as happening to be on the autistic spectrum... And as such, relies on me for the majority of her self care. Between working myself to the bone trying to keep us afloat, and worrying constantly... I feel like a complete failure most of the time, for being unable to elevate us from our current situation.

The future will happen anyway whether I worry about it or not. Thank you for reminding me that it’s about NOW. Not yesterday or tomorrow! ☺️🙏🏽💖✨✨

I'm 14, and I just started grade 10. The only one I don't do is over-analyze everything. I don't analyze much of anything really, I don't have the energy, and I don't care enough. I'm wasting my life,and I know it. I have for a while. I constantly visualize the future, in fact it's what a lot of my daydreams consist of (I'm a maladaptive daydreamer). I'm absolutely terrified of when I graduate high school. I don't know what I'll do. I don't know what job I want to do, so I don't have any plans for post-secondary. I don't have friends, and most of my time is spent mindlessly wandering between different time-fillers (e.g. daydreaming, video games, watching youtube, Netflix, etc.) And I don't have fun doing any of it. I'm really tired. I'm really lonely, too. I can't change it. I can't make friends, I've tried. I can't get new hobbies, because we can't afford groceries, let alone stuff for hobbies. I don't really enjoy anything anymore. I'm sitting in my house, wishing I could go home, but I don't know where home is. I'm lost and I'm tired, and I want to just sleep. But I won't. No matter what, I won't end it. Mostly cause I'm terrified of pain, and there aren't a whole lot of painless methods, and because my mom and cat would be sad. So I'm still here, and I will be for as long as I can. Just suffering. Sorry, for the rant, if you've made it this far, but I guess I just needed to get this off my chest. I don't really have anyone to talk to, and the KZbin comments section isn't the best place, but I've already typed it all out.

It's ok to not have a plan. And you're still pretty young, so the best thing to do is to try out different things. I still don't have a plan, and I'm 34. I'm in college for the 4th time because I keep changing my mind about what I want to do. I also didn't really have friends growing up, but I have a few friends now. Sometimes you meet people later in life. Just keep going, even when you don't feel like it. The KZbin comment section believes in you. c:

@@alexiswilson3769 My mom's the only option I have, and maybe she can read it, but whenever we have a conversation it devolves into an argument. That's the biggest problem, I can't get her to understand me, so she can't help me figure anything out. And my teacher's won't help me. I tried talking to them a couple years ago, and they just tried to get me a psychological evaluation. Not help, just an evaluation. They weren't willing to talk with me, or help me with figuring out my interests. It was disheartening. I'll try. My mom read my posts on Reddit, and they covered some of this stuff, but I'm not sure how much they helped her understand. She says she understands it better, but nothing's come of it. Thank you for your support, it helps a lot.

I've also started scheduling time to finish projects I started and to get in some gaming time, 1 online course down, 3 more to go 😩. I also reduced time watching Reddit videos as I noticed they're triggering me and causing my thoughts to resurface. Spending less time on social media in general. Organizing myself as I became very disorganized. Made efforts to get the quality of life items I needed. Deep cleaned my living space. Making plans to re-enter uni this coming semester and how to tackle the courses I failed.

How I wish I could get out of this with my own might, but everything seems to disagree with it, like I want to change but my body seems to not having any motivation to do or to work for it. I don't know what my strengths are, and I'm really not sure of what I want in my life. I want help, but even my family isn't there for me to be my source of positivity. But, I thank you because your videos are always there for me to make me acquainted to what I'm needing. How I wish there would be atleast a friend whom I can tell my story, without me being judged. That's why even my decision-making is also affected by the things I'm overwhelmed with.

Maybe the way forward is to just not think about your past or present failures. Just try your best at whatever you're doing or need to do now. There are no guarantees in life, but whether you succeed or fail, at least your conscience will be clear, knowing you tried your best. Even if you fail at doing or achieving something, it does not mean you're a failure as a human being as long you have honestly tried.
@livingartdesigns06
@livingartdesigns06 3 жыл бұрын
Don't be too critical of yourself. Learn and grow from what you may deem as short comings or mistakes. By who's standard are you deeming yourself a failure? The most important thing is that you do what makes YOU happy at the timing and pace that is right and convenient for you. If you concern yourself about what others think, I suggest you don't. Each of us are special and unique individuals who have a unique purpose on Earth. No one is any better or less than any one else, regardless of status, appearance, capabilities, or achievements. If you want to make monumental changes for yourself for whatever reason, take small steps one day at a time. Those small steps quickly add up. I recommend researching the Japanese practice of KAIZEN. Before you know it you're half-way up that mountain. Before you know it again, you are at the top of that mountain looking down realizing how much you have achieved. A good KZbin channel I recommend watching is Infinite Waters Diving Deep by Ralph Smart. I also recommend the practice of appreciating yourself as a special human being. The best way to uplift yourself and find inner peace is to go out into nature and connect with it as much as possible. Take care, you'll both be fine and happy.

With so many exams coming up, I always throw myself into my work and I'm pretty miserable as a result. But if I don't work, I wont pass. But if I dont take time off, I'll burn out. It's a vicious mental circle I find myself trapped in almost daily. But, I'm trying to move forward and be a better person. Showing more emotion, not spending so much energy on worrying about the future or the past and really trying to change things. It's always a struggle, on some days more than others, but I'm hoping that if I keep trying, eventually things will get better.

i used to be sidelined from Crohn's disease, then clinical depression and generalized anxiety disorder. i couldn't have a bad day or a good day, i couldn't even begin. having a serious physical or mental condition can really destroy any potential that you have, whether you're optimistic, energetic, confident, pessimistic, depressed, nihilistic.

Exactly! Patience is good but there is a point where you are just wasting your time waiting for someone else to fix your life and you need to go out and fix your life and live it yourself. You have no idea how relevant that quote is to my life right now.

The first three things I do A LOT in my life and I’m willing to change but I’ve been expecting a big change over night which isn’t going to happen. What are some smaller steps I can set to stop over analyzing things, throwing myself into my work, and most importantly for me, LETTING MY FEARS HOLD ME BACK.

I don't think the title felt like a personal attack, unless one is overanalyzing. This was excellent. Gave me a good list to check to ensure I am balanced and moving forward.

honestly i don't really know what to do with my life at this point. it's not bad neither is it good but i just don't like my life right now. edit: i kinda want to die. but i'm still too young, i have friends i want to spend time with and kpop comebacks to watch. life is boring, stressful and meaningless, all i'm doing rn is taking exams and going to school. i'm lost about my future, what am i going to do after i finish my education? i can find out if the afterlife exists if i die in the future. 🤷‍♀️

Then I realized that if we just start working with what we have to, Eg studying for school etc., or just trying out new things can help Cause " You need to seize the opportunity " (lol) but anyway let's hope for the best and move forward....We can do it guys!!! 💜💪🏻

Ok I’m just going to come out and say it: for much of school (GCSEs/A Levels) I felt as though I was wasting my life but felt helpless to do anything about it. I struggled to make friends and the pressure to study was immense, so I threw myself into studying. I got the grade, for sure, but I couldn’t get that time back to spend it just, you know... living. The only time when life seemed to have meaning were the times I had real friends, messing around and just being a normal kid (which only happened after heavy studying ended). I know a lot of young people are in the same boat right now and it’s especially bad with the pandemic. I hope the education system changes to recognise the fact that we’re humans and socialising and having fun is not a “waste of time”.

This comment just explained my life Right about now. Like damn give me a break. I'm only this young once, and I don't need to be spending all my time studying for 25 a hours a day. I need to SOCIALIZE and just be stupid and silly. In my opinion socializing, normal going out with people your own age for young people is as equally important as studying or making your career.

Can totally relate. The only way I could get out of bed was acknowledging that I couldn’t do it by myself, so I asked for help. I’m doing therapy rn, I’ve opened up myself to people I trust and get some emotional support. I know I still feel pain and I’m not trying to avoid it. I’m doing what I can to get better, but on my time. Sometimes I still stay in bed and feel guilt about it, totally normal. But at least I know I’m doing what I can to change my life for better.

Going from one temporary state in life to another. 32 now and wondering when I’ll get to settle down and start a family. I don’t mean to rush it though because that probably wouldn’t end well but at the same time when I do see it coming I may end up running away. Fear of failure but also fear of success (somehow). Fear unfortunately is very powerful
