7 y/o OEM Battery vs. Cold Start | 2014 BMW 320i

For reference, the 320i retained the original battery my entire ownership. Thankfully never had to cough up the $300-400 for a replacement.

I should probably also compliment you on this video Garrison! I no longer own a Toyota 🥹however I sure do miss the quality! I did get a 2022 Nissan Altima SR from the Toyota dealership I’ve been using since 2019. It’s paid for and has 32600 miles on it, so still under factory warranty. I did find a 2017 Camry XLE V6 with 39,940 miles on it at a Toyota dealership about 60 miles from me in southeast Iowa (right on the Mississippi River). I should probably get an almost across the board trade. That’s how much I miss Toyota quality! Nothing wrong with the Nissan Altima either! Enjoy your weekend! I appreciate you always! Mark in Iowa.

I just replaced The battery on my 2016 Maserati GranTurismo (garage kept). If you keep it on a battery tender (like you should) a AGM battery should get 5-10 years of life out of it. A standard battery might get 3-5 depending on the weather. My Volvo S60 is a 2014 model and I have replaced two batteries since I purchased it.

My F30 battery is 9 years old, coming to 10 years by the end of the year. Still original battries, no issues at all. Car was parked in doors, but I live in Canada with cold winters.

This is crazy. My 2006 BMW X3 had its original battery up until 2018 when I got it. Traded it in last year and I do miss it.
