Hi Guys, I just wanted to give a shoutout to The Paint Explainer channel for the inspiration behind this video. Not totally sure if they're the pioneers of this style of videos, but it's important to give credit where it's due, right? Hope it was a useful video.

1. The 2-minute rule Do tasks that take less than 2 minutes immediately 2. Don’t touch it twice Complete a task once you start it 3. The 72-hour rule Wait 72 hours before making a decision when hungry, angry, tired, or lonely 4. The 5-second rule Count backward from 5 to 1 and take action to avoid procrastination 5. Daily highlight Choose one main task for each day that makes it successful or fulfilling 6. If it’s not a hell yes, then it’s a hell no Only do things that you are really excited about 7. Ask who, not how Delegate tasks to others who can do them better or faster 8. Procrastination is wisdom Pay attention to the tasks you procrastinate on and ask for help 9. The 90-90-1 rule Spend the first 90 minutes of your day on one task that helps you achieve your goals 10. The 12-week year rule Aim to achieve your 12-month goals in 12 weeks 11. Biological prime time Identify the time of day when you are most energized and productive 12. The 80% rule Get feedback at 80% completion instead of trying to make it perfect 13. Eat the frog first Tackle the most significant and challenging task first thing in the morning 14. Parkinson’s law Set shorter deadlines to reduce the time needed for completion 15. The 80/20 rule Focus on the 20% of activities that bring 80% of results 16. The ABCDE method Rank your tasks from A (most important) to E (least important) and do them in that order 17. Time auditing Keep a record of your daily activities and identify areas for improvement 18. Don’t break the chain Mark each day you complete a task or a habit and create a chain 19. Energy management Keep your energy high by sleeping, exercising, and taking breaks 20. The Zeigarnik effect Start a task and take a break while your subconscious mind works on it 21. The Pomodoro technique Work on one task for 25 minutes and take a 5-minute break 22. Batch processing Group similar tasks and do them together 23. The salami slice method Break down overwhelming tasks into smaller slices and work on one slice at a time 24. Outcome visualization Visualize the desired outcome of your goals 25. The Warren Buffett strategy Write down your top 25 career goals and focus only on the top 5 26. The Feynman technique Study as if you have to teach the concepts to someone else 27. The five whys technique Ask why five times to get to the root cause of a problem 28. The habit stacking method Build new habits by stacking them onto existing habits 29. Rest and sleep Sleep is the most productive thing you can do in a day 30. Quality time over quantity time Spend quality time with your family and friends 31. Say no often Every yes to one thing is a no to another thing 32. Working blocks Divide your day into three parts: strategic, buffer, and breakout 33. Theme your days Focus on one activity each day and nothing else 34. Decision fatigue Minimize the number of decisions you need to make each day 35. The power of routine Establish a daily routine for all aspects of your life 36. Digital detox Disconnect from digital devices periodically to reduce distractions and mental clutter 37. Respect your future self Make choices that your future self will thank you for 38. The spotlight effect Understand that people are not noticing or judging your every move 39. The Ulysses pact Make a choice in the present that forces you to perform a certain action in the future 40. Plan your weeks Plan how you will use your 168 hours before the week begins 41. Always carry a notebook with you Capture solutions that come from your subconscious mind

Don’t be confuse buying the dip in a bear market, with guaranteed future returns. Just because that company is down 60%+ from ATH does NOT make it a sound long-term investment. Make sure you’re investing in great companies. kudos to Alexandra marie

While I agree that some of these could be effective at increasing productivity. There are also several that will make you become more dependent on other people to achieve your goals or complete your tasks. For example, "Ask who, not how" where you ask someone to do it for you instead of asking how you can do it yourself. That's weak thinking. Man up, do it yourself. These behaviors lead to compromises and excuses, manipulation and also can just make people lazy. Obviously there are certain parameters and personal limitations that might make soloing it harder, but that will make you stronger. People need to try and be more independent, this new generation that practice some of these "rules", they're weak, lazy, easily offended, entitled narcissists and it's getting worse. Great video though, love the channel.

Some of these rules clearly clash with each other. For ex., "Don’t touch it twice" and "The salami slice method "; or "Eat the frog first" and "Biological prime time". And some don't make any sense, like the rule to wait 72 hours after you're hungry to make a decision; or the rule to only do things that excite us, as if someone else will come and floss our teeth for us, lol!
