Less is more with locs. Letting them do what they do is what I have found to work for me. I'm 5.5 years in as well. Happy loc anniversary Queen 👑

Congratulations on 7 years sis! I'm on 7 years with my sister locks to. Ladies drink plenty of water, get off the junk, stop putting you hair in right styles and let it do what it wants to do. I use to cut my end every now and then and I also wash them every single weekend. My hair grew too bra strap length and it got on my nerves so bad, I got it cut back into a bob in layers. Enjoy the journey!!

That's my goal with my locs. I don't want them long. I would like shoulder length or just beyond my shoulders. I am 30 months into my loc journey and loving it. 🎉🎉

Enjoy your at each stage. Your loctition is your best person to consult for care, because they see your hair in person. Sister locs don’t require a lot of products and manipulation. Take care of your body and your hair will fall in line too. Just relax and ENJOY THE JOURNEY 😊🩷

Love how you answered these questions. I see all the comments online, most popular being, “I can’t wait until I reach that length”. Just enjoy the journey, watch them flourish😊 I’ve enjoyed them so much, also 7 yrs in! Great vid, beautiful as always.

The hair is gorgeous, as usual. Thankfully you and "Let's Journey" are still hanging in as it seems a lot of folks have fallen by the wayside. I'm rolling up on 5 years, and while my journey has been less than perfect I have NO intention of going back voluntarily. I was a bit stubborn during my 2nd and 3rd year, and insisted on lightening my hair to fight the grays, but I learned the hard way and now the gray can "do what it do". I may do a dark rinse at some point, but I'm in no hurry. Some of the questions were "interesting" and I was chuckling to myself watching your reaction. You are right; this is not merely a hairstyle, it's a lifestyle and not everyone gets that initially. Anyway, thanks for the inspiration

I love my curly ques. I had my hair dyed 2 yrs before I started my loc journey & my tips are still blonde after 7.5 yrs. It's cute 😊

I just had my 7 year anniversary. My hair had grown so long that I finally had to cut it. I cut off 8 inches and it is still past my bras line. I only use the Pantene Gold Series shampoo and oil in my hair and my hair loves it. Congratulations on your loc anniversary.

Congrats on your lociversary! I’m only a year and 4 months in and I’m trying to be patient with my hair but I want some length already!! 😅 I feel so ungrateful because locing my hair has been the best thing ever for my psyche but I’ve been in the awkward stage for a year and 4 months I’m ready for some length weight and thickness 😢 they’ve come a long way from their starting point but they’re still not fully loc’d and are thin. Uuggghhh maybe I just need to pray lol

Congratulations on a year and four months the experience and the journey should not be all about length that’s what you want but enjoy the other freedoms of the lifestyle no more detangling yeah you got a braid & band but that will soon be over. The length will come, just be patient ❤️

You are my loc crush! Love how healthy your locs look. It has to be your diet, genetics and monthly maintenance all wrapped into one to give this glow (I'm taking notes). I need to find me a new loctitian after my lady got sick last year 😞; I'm approaching 2 years btw. I had to learn how to retighten and it takes me a full 3 days (with frequent breaks lol) to make sure my grid is still pronounced and I'm not binding strands together lol. Thankfully i am a DIY girlie so I don't mind the struggle but I do miss having someone else do this for me. Thanks for this video I'm only 18 minutes in and had to comment. HAPPY LOCVERSARY beautiful! Do you have a suggestion where to find someone in my area who specializes in sisterlocs? Im 5 hours from Dallas...
@DrkNlvely7 ай бұрын
Thank you so much for the kind words. Have you tired searching IG #dallasloctican or making a post in a FB loc group possibly?
@_MeeYuh_7 ай бұрын
@@DrkNlvely Thank you for that tip! I need to re-activate IG this weekend and try both of those options.
@DrkNlvely7 ай бұрын
@@_MeeYuh_ before you reactivate IG try Facebook first. I feel like you’ll get a better response because you wanna go with someone where other people came back them in regards to suggest their services. You don’t wanna go off of IG and it be not good because people can only present one way without their clients to back them so I would go the route of actually having someone who has micro or sister Locs suggest someone to you
