The Song ( Racing into the Night ) is Based on the Short Story " The Temptation of Thanatos " which is about Suicide/Selfharm Topics. Same as " Idol " Happy Song / Dark Lyrics . Story is about a Guy who saves a Girl constantly from commiting suicide. She always gives him a Notice when she want to jump from the Roof. He wants her to live , be happy but can not get her to smile. When he agrees to Die with her she smiles for the first Time and both jump. There are different Interpretaions , she is his Angel of Death that lure him into it. I think she is just an Imagination from himself to figure out , if Life is still worth living. My favotite Yoasobi Song besides Idol ... maybe because I have a Dark Soul :)
