Toru's Invisibilty quirk is a Mutant quirk. Dark Shadow is an Emitter quirk, Tokoyami's bird head is a mutation, possibly inherited from a parent or ancestor. To be a Transformation quirk the user has to be able to consciously control the change, like Ryukyu's Dragon quirk or Mt Lady's Gigantification, rather than the change being permanent like Invisibility or Earphone Jack.
